nikki-likki, have you tried the go-go or echo by chance? and i was looking at those clearos myself from gotvapes but decided against it. im guessing someone in gotvapes forum has something to say about the filler and why its not soaking it all up (since those look identical to what they sell).

if you dont get them working properly, you can always use them to hit your mail man in the head with them for not bringing your stuff early enough.

Hi, no, I haven't tried a go-go or echo. I'll look at gotvape's forum to see if anyone is writing about them, they do look the same.

I think they fill okay, it just takes a long time and it was interesting to watch it happen. LOL about the mailman, they do resemble Nerf bullets.

I have found similar results with gogo cartomizers especially after a rebuild. As the gogo cartomizer is a horizontal coil, we can take our cartomizers apart and completely clean the filler, dry burn the coil to remove any caramelization and return the filler as new. When I refill the gocart with juice even though I might wait 1-2 hours the flavor, Vapor or th is not there. Once I let it sit overnight I can get another 8-10 drops in it and the flavor, vapor and th are just like a new one.

That's good to know. I know I would suggest waiting at least 6 hours after a fill with these.

Do the go-go cartomizers seem to take some break-in time when they are new?

Some do and some don't. As I stated, you can take them completely apart and analyze them. I've come to the conclusion that even with the factory install of the filler, some are crimped in places and you can see how the crimp dams up the juice flow to a degree. With a carto rebuild like I posted in the ego sub-forum you get some daming of the filler after a hand rebuild due to crimping but I've also found that once the carto is saturated with juice, normally it will stretch in the carto shell and repair itself and subsequent top offs work fine. Whenever I fill a large capacity carto, especially a horizontal coil, where the vaping is all done at the bottom, I always fill before I go to bed and leave it overnight.

Thanks mohawkx, it makes sense about the filling. I saw another post last night where someone took these apart and clean them like the go-go cartos, I'll go look for your post too. I also found stownz' review. I don't think they are completely burn resistant though, I'm seeing brown gunk down the middle.

Yep when I fill the GoGo I use a 20 gauge needle:

  • I gently slide it down one side, all the way till the needle bottoms out
  • Insert a ml or so.
  • Switch to the other side. Insert the needle half way
  • Another ml
  • Go back to the first insertion point go 1/4 of the way down and keep injecting until I start to see the juice coming to the top
  • Wait a minute or so
  • Go back to the 2nd insertion point and finish injecting the full 3ml
  • Let it sit another min on a towel
  • Blow through it (usually get a few drops)
  • VAPE

When I feel like the carto is about to go dry I can usually see my insert point and will use the same method. It will take upwards of 2.5 ml but I tend to keep my favorite flavors "topped off".

Yes I imagine all the Echo users are as happy as the GoGo users. 3ml is a LOT!

On the flip side... I filled a carto with a juice I had not tested first (Grape Ape) and was not too thrilled with it. It was not bad I just did not think "man this is nice" and I vapped it, when I could, not to be wasteful. I thought that thing was NEVER going to drain. I had victory yesterday! Only took a week lol
