Water proofing tech for electronics

I see there is new tech for waterproofing that they are going to implement on the next round of cell phones. Including the Iphone.

I am hoping the ecig modders will make use of this. Its applied in the manufacturing process spayed on and claim that you should be able to completely submerge you phone. Its nano tech and there are several makers of the stuff.

I just thought I would mention it to the modders. Would be a huge selling point for me as dripping my cig in the pool, river or puddle is a typical failure mode for me.

I haven't seen the "new" tech for waterproofing electronics. An epoxy dip was the old protection, but it didn't offer fully effective waterproofing. There's still the issue of vents on batteries.

The last link is the Cnet article that peaked my interest in the first place. That and they last video link is the coating I am referring to.

I was wondering when they were going to implement this tech. I read something about this about 2 years back in popular science.
