interesting - was some interest in raising PH with bicarb - this could do some of that without dissolved solids?

salt shouldn't vaporize yet seems to make a difference anyway.
If what you have is for drinking then its probably not really as ultra-pure as distilled water. water without minerals
and
salts tastes pretty yucky - maybe first purified and then some calciums and
salts re-added - electrolytes.
