Is there a direct correlation here or am I just connecting the dots wrong?

If I went from 24mg nic at 10 watts, would I be right to assume at 20 watts I should cut my nic level in half, and that my vapor production would double?

Wanting to get into low ohm rda's but I'm not in a place where I can really experiment with different concentrations, because I'm broke and getting a mech/rda/meter/batteries is expensive enough, even for the cheapo's.

Yes and no... There are a lot more factors that play into all that, but generally when you are using rebuildable atty's you will be making a more efficient vape. That means it will vaporize a lot more juice in the same amount of time. Its not necessarily all about wattage or voltage, because wicking speed, coil to wick surface area ratio, VG/PG ratio, chamber size, and airflow all play a part. When I went to RBA's I dropped my nic from 18mg to 8mg and I can still over nic pretty easy. Some people still use 24mg on those crazy setups but I couldn't do it. As a rough calculation based on one of my drippers, 10 drops (.25ml) lasts for 2 big hits, and at 8 mg/ml, its the rough nic equivalent of 2 analogs vaporized. I'm sure not all of that gets into my system, because some is still in the vapor, but it provides a little perspective.

thank you, that's very helpful.

I think I'll get 6mg, and if it's not enough I can mix it with some of the spare 24mg I have lying around.

You might not need to go that low. It depends on how crazy you are going to build stuff. If you plan on cloud chasing, then by all means get the 6mg, but if you are going to get something like a kayfun or a genesis style atty, you might want 12mg. The build I was using for perspective is a quad coil at .28 ohms and it makes ridiculous clouds. It is certainly not my all day vape. Its really just a toy. Get high vg juice so you don't knock the back of your throat out lol.

There are a lot of really experienced (more than me for sure) that hang out in Rebuildable Atomizer Systems You can learn a lot there.

Edit: Please remember to do all of your homework and be safe. :vapor:
