volts x volts / ohms = watts


Some examples of what's working well for me:

4.5 x 4.5 / 2.0 = 10.125
5.0 x 5.0 / 2.5 = 10
5.5 x 5.5 / 3.0 = 10.083

Sure wish I could get my hands on a Darwin. Then again a simple 5 volt box works just fine with a 2.5 ohm carto!

Alternate Math (to see amps)
volts/ohms=amps
volts*amps=Watts

4.5v / 3ohms = 1.5amps
4.5v * 1.5amps = 6.75 Watts

4.8v / 3ohms = 1.6amps
4.8v * 1.6amps = 7.68 Watts

I love vaping @ 10 watts
Another alternate to get to the wattage you want is to:
take the ohms and multiply it by the wattage you want then figure for the square root of that number.
Plug the result into your VV device and enjoy..

For example
I have a 1.5 ohm atomizer and would like to vape @ 10 watts
1.5Ω x 10W = 15V
√15 = 3.9 (Rounded up)

There's a point where too high of heat wrecks the flavor (IMO).

I use 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos at 3.8 (my provari wont let me go any higher......)
But I will use a 2-3 ohm carto at 4 volts. I like the taste rather than the heat. I also use VG for more vapor production.

Gotta that. Different coils are different.... so different wattage. However, I still vape on the cooler side compared to y'all (but not as cool as most of the stock stuff. Too little vapor production, IMO.)

Same here no matter the juice feeder. 3.0 ohm to 1.8 ohm anything above 7.5 max, burnt taste

Hence the reason you have trouble keeping your equipment working. Really? Have you considered vaping a flamethrower?

lol. I'm guessing he's using Dual Coil stuff. So you'd have to divide by # coils. So... 12 watts (HOT!). Or maybe triple coil (8 watts).
