YouTube - MOONPORT PRODUCTIONS SPECIAL REPORT - Gulf Oil Spill part 2 0 Top Kill May Have Failed

WOW! Nice job capping that thing! /sarchasm mode off

It's now 5 TIMES THE SIZE!@

I suspect they broke the wellhead off of the BOP (Blow Out Preventer) causing the before manhole cover sized leak into a much larger one with 3 new leaks to join in the fun. BP was worried that may take place in "Operation Top Kill"

I hope I am wrong, but does this footage look like success to you? They (BP) tell us not to judge based on size of the plumes, but then since when did BP tell us the truth in the past?

BP is now saying that what we're presently seeing gushing out is not oil, but drilling mud from the Top Kill effort. My hopes are high, and my confidence is low. It DOES appear that the color has changed.

They also say it will be another day before we know whether the well is plugged.

Or give them another 12 hours to announce their epic phail.

I hope I am wrong. I really do.

The black plume on the right tells me that the oil is not capped yet. But the fact the mud is being blown out tells me that they are only putting more and more pressure in this well. Somethings gotta give. And when it does....

(and to let you know, the mud being blown out is not a good sign. It tells me that the pressures being blown OUT exceed what the mud can deliver. If we're seeing mud blown out, it's a failure. The mud is supposed to stay inside)

Sadly, even if they are successful and cap it with this effort, the mass of crude already liberated equates to a horrible disaster. And, the dispersants they're apply only make the matter worse. The thinking (no doubt) is that the less crude to wash ashore, the fewer news channels on the beach ... better for them. But, these chemicals will be shown to contribute to the disaster. I'm no chemist, that's just my gut feeling.

$$$$$$$ oh how it makes the world go around you are soooo correct on that & they were trying to salvage & not stop & they should have been trying the top kill from the get go even though I'm still afraid it won't work that it's either gonna have to run dry or in a couple of months when the relief well is complete. I hate it I hate it. I was born & raised in LA there is no other state like it & it makes me sick what is happening their not doing enough to 1 clean up the beaches & 2 stopping it before it hits the marshes & beaches & 3 stopping the leak. IDIOTS!!! My kids left today in fact to go to their mawmaws in LA & they were going to go to Grand Isle because we are coonass & they go @ least twice a year but know not now! The poor animals, the poor gulf, the poor fishermen!! BP s---s!! Today according to the new when Obama visited they had about 3 or 400 workers there cleaning up the beach & once Obama left, they left. Let's see if they come back. I think too they tried all those same procedures when the 1979 IXTOC spill & it went on for 9 mos. until relief well was built. I'm sick of BP's & Obamas promises just stop the leak & get way more help down there to clean it up!!!

I made a commentary video, but I am reminded of the rules here at ECF regarding the use of foul language. With that, I will ONLY be posting the YouTube Video ID of part 7 of my video series

2joI_aeYe-U

Put

Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

in front of that video ID to view.

Only the hearty need view this. Yes, I go off, and actually broke my keyboard with my fist during the production.

Lets say I am not too happy.

Here's the thing dude, they are clutching at straws. They don't know how to stop this one. It's a runaway.
Ever heard of that big chunk of uninhabited water called the Dead Sea? Get ready to meet it's newly born big brother. The gulf is being turned into one big arsed chunk of uninhabitable glutinous, stinking swamp. Way to go big oil ...

The problem is we never learned from the past. Back in 79, the news media is bringing up the fact that a very similar spill took place and they tried the same methods they tried to stop this one (containment domes, junk shots, etc). I guess they are trying to downplay the seriousness of the situation by saying we had a similar disaster in the past and recovered.

What the news media DOESN'T TELL YOU is that the spill back in '79 pumped a total of 460,000 metric tonnes of oil in the gulf in the 9 months it took to drill a relief well, and it was only 200 feet deep. This bad boy already pumped out 540,000 metric tonnes in the gulf in the past 40 days and is over a mile down.

This leak is way bigger than the '79 event and far deeper. And we don't have the luxury of having 9 months to wait for a fix like we did last time around. AND big oil used proven failed methods to try and fix it.

The Gulf bit the big one with this. :(
