yeah usually if it's not raining the camping event we just had this past weekend is normally a big weekend for the people with dogs to do coursing...so there were an inordinate # of greyhounds and other dogs there all sorts of bummed out because they didn't get to run because of the rain..

Tried coursing our dog but he's either A) too stupid to figure out how to chase the lure or B) to smart to chase it since it comes back round to the beginning and he just waits for it to come back to the start and stop so he can attack it while the other dogs run like mad..

I have 3 bassets so if the lure were food they'd be all over it!

lol I do so love scent hounds...

the daughter hates that the beagle mix still has that feature about him because he ends up narcing her out whenever she tries to sneak food (she's got ADHD and not supposed to have sugary sweets)...because all of a sudden he's trying to get his nose in her pockets or bag...

what can I say...he's "special"...also thinks we won't notice if he tries to sneak up on the couch next to one of us by trying to climb slowly...problem is his legs are too short to really get up there so what could be a quick jump (which he can do) turns into a 10 minute slow torturous climb....it's so pathetic and he tries so hard that half the time I just let him stay after he makes it up there....so I don't know if it's stupid or actually smart on his part
