I am totally ready for vacation! When I get off work Wed morning I need to get the BUV (that's Basset Utility Vehicle) washed, decide what tent I'm taking and get packed

Camping???
I camp at the nearest Hotel that offers room service...lol

I know me too. My kids are going NUTS being stuck in the house. It's either too cold, too windy, or raining out! They're gonna start thinking I'm a hermit lol

That's how I used to be!! Then I went camping a few years ago with some of the basset rescue peeps and discovered that I LOVE it!! I now own 3 tents (different sizes) and have plenty of other camping gear. I'll be going 3 times this year

I do have one small requirement when camping ... showers!

I just screwd up an ECF Prize Patrol thingy.... eh :/
I haven't been camping in a loooonggggg time. Last time a few friends and I attempted it we ended up sleeping in a car lol it was horrible. Hopefully this year we'll be able to go (husband and kids). I'm alittle nervous about taking the kids

I take my kids camping alot. My son is seven he lovess it!!! My daughter is 15 and she hates it.lol no computer, her phone does not get signal so no texting lol

Hubby and I are looking at a 42 foot rv...I will go "camping" in that

We do the tent thing! Always scared of bears though~ Have not seen one yet though!

My kids are 2 and 3 and my son is such a big baby he still drinks his milk warm (and yes it's my fault lol big time). We would have to take the dog because she has abandonment issues and tears up the house if we leave... I'm just not really looking forward to it lol

lol well when I say tent and camping...it's totally different..it's an old school canvas tent that's 16'x21'...and a real queen size bed that goes and other furniture and a full length mirror....and a seperate shower tent that has a battery and propane powered hot water on demand thing...got so bad that couldnt fit the kids in the van with the tent so had to get a trailer just for the gear (not the kids)

lol yes it is...it's a tent...and it's still out in nature...lol....actually that's because well the long yearly camping trip is 2 weeks long...so built for comfort for that...and well it's easier to just load up all that stuff than to go out and get more "rustic" gear for just a weekend
