A while back we ran a contest where users here on ECF designed an eliquid. They picked out the flavors, percentages, name and we selected 3 nominees. We then sent out sample packs of the 3 nominees and had 100 testers vote on which flavor they liked best. Eclipse by thehangdude was the winner and had a lot of positive feedback. The flavor is coconut blueberry tobacco.

So now that the backstory is done, we need artwork for our website for this new product and we would like it if we could select someone from the community to do the artwork since this is a community designed flavor. We will be giving away 120ml of the liquid of their choosing as a reward to the winner. We will also be giving away 4 - 30ml bottles of Eclipse to the funnest pictures people can post (you can win both the 120ml and multiple of the 30ml).

Pretty darn simple really, post a picture that you created here and we will select winners.

We need the image for the website to be 500 x 334 pixels (or the same ratio).

Sorry to hear that... but with that kind of attitude you won't get very far around here!! :p

Most of us just do it for FUN... and/or the Free Juice!! :D

Thanks everyone who's submitting work. Everything is looking good so far! Remember you can post funny pictures as well to win even more. Also you can post as many pictures as you want.

My attitude of not working for free? M'kay...y'all have fun then. I look forward to seeing the winning design.

I can respect your position. I make eliquid for a living and need to make a living at it. However, I do give my work away for free quite often and am happy to share what I do with others. I honestly don't know why you even commented though, it seemed to only cause tension and that doesn't seem positive or productive for anyone.

Good article and doesn't really apply here.

To be perfectly honest, our web developer is also a very good graphic designer who is more than capable of creating something we would approve of. However, this eliquid was designed by the community and I would like the art to be as well. Its truly my belief that the community should drive change in the eliquid industry and I don't see a better way to do that then to involve them in the creative process. The ability to have a rapport with the community is priceless IMHO.

Wow, you really don't get the concept of "community" do you? ECF is a community, one I've been a part of for about 4 years now. This is a common practice around here, and most users who submit artwork are happy to do it for the juice and/or just for the fun. It's nice to be able to have some input, have an impact on something. That is reward enough.

As Dana said, why even comment? It did do one thing, though, it showed you are not interested in being a part of the ECF community, where we help each other whenever we can. So why don't you just go away and not come back. With that kind of attitude, I doubt you have anything to contribute to this amazing and helpful community.

BTW, my brother is a very successful graphic artist and he gives away his work all the time, perhaps because he loves to create. Most truly creative people don't mind using their gifts to help others not so blessed. But then again, in my opinion, graphic art is not exactly a creative talent is it, more a learned skill. (although some graphic artists are indeed very talented, anyone can learn the skill) If you are going to spend your life only doing what you can do for youself, I pity you, and hope you like dogs, because I doubt you will have any friends. I also bet that you are the first in line to get something free when it's offered.

To everyone else who's submitted something, keep it coming, lovin them so far!!!!!
