Ms. Cruzer, if you have the repair kit aka sub-ohm kit you will have everything to fix it up. PBusardo has a video where he reviews the REO as well as install the sub-ohm kit. Here is the link to the review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOcs3kdv97o. About 25 minutes in is where he takes it apart and installs the kit.

If you have the kit already and don't want your REO to take a vacation in the spa, it looks somewhat easy to do. YMMV

I don't have the full repair kit, just parts of it and I have the upgraded contacts already. That video gIves me a lot better idea of how to do it than the one I watched yesterday. I think I could fix it.

One thing I noticed was that he didn't put a drop of super glue on the tube connection like I've seen.

For the price of the FedEx, I could get the full repair kit. Maybe I can get him to send an extra firing pin so I'd still have a full repair kit after switching the pin.

Thanks so much Gopher!

It's actually not to hard to do. I had it in my hand (where it usually is), trying to get in the door after work while keeping any dogs from escaping. I carry a canvas shoulder bag to/from the office and had a ream of copy paper in it so it was heavy.

The bag slipped off my shoulder and hit the button on the Reo HARD firing it for about 5 seconds. The hit to the button broke the firing pin in two inside the delrin.

Besides not having another firing pin, it looks like you have to pretty much disassemble including breaking and replacing the center pin to fix it. Not sure I'd get it all back together so am thinking of sending it in.
maaaaan - im so sorry... :( get well soon REO!
