Hey, I just moved into a new house two weeks before I left on my trip for nearly three months. We intended on buying a new grill once we settled into our new house. Now that I am home I want to be picky with what I get. I'm actually contemplating building a grill out of masonry in the yard. I love to make pulled pork. I make my own spice rub and Carolina style bbq sauce.

I was just playing with you, I am truly sorry that you have not been able to eat from BB-Q foods. IMO it is one of the best ways to eat food as it tastes great.

Oh, I agree... bbq meat is awesome. Hopefully I can find a solution to my grilling needs soon. It's grilling weather year round here :)

Well if you have the dough I am serious look into Tiernan grills. The space inside to grill is greater than most store bought grills and the material it is made from is far superior to any other. I have had mine for 15 years with no sign of stopping and I can smoke three racks of ribs at once or a whole turkey and more.

Consider the cost of replacing a grill every 3-4 years vs. this "son of brisket" type that has lasted me this lone. I suspect that mine will last 45 years or more at the current rate of wear.

Thamks tigger. I'll check it out. Cash is a bit tight now as anyone who has purchased a house can tell you. We blew our savings on the initial payments and getting an a/c installed

Ouch! I've had my beard hairs pulled by the space between the drip tip and atty for the last time. Maybe not the very last time, I might take part in Noshavember. For now, this Snarf needs a trim. Surely I'm not the only bearded vaper that has had this problem.

That is the WORST! Goatee is always gettin' stuck in my atties! Brutal!

Back home and happy to be here but I sure do miss the lake and the houseboat. Weather was beautiful, company was grand and the fish were so well fed they had NO interest in anything we threw at them. Oh well. Cannot have everything. We did catch a total of 5 cats, 4 blue gills that were nice size and one pike or gar or whatever is really long and ugly and has way too many teeth (that one never made it into the boat...spit the hook, thank God). Such a gorgeous place to spend a week!

#2 for 09/28

It was. I have not been on a vacation other than a long weekend for so long. I think I just rested and recharged batteries for the first couple days...ya know when you just sit and stare at the lake and breath? Then I got into the fishing part. But really, I would be happy just sitting in the breezes and the sun and watching the scenery change. I better be quiet. I want to go back already.
