weird ego passthrough problem

ok, so whatever i screw on to the ego passthrough i have wont fire when it is screwed all the way down, if i back it off about 1/4 a turn it fires, but this makes my cartos/attys too loose on the battery. when i try to fire something that is screwed all the way in, the mattery just flashes at me. works fine if i back it off tho.
