weird ego passthrough problem

i have this posted in the technical issues forum as well, but this place seems to get more traffic. ok, so whatever i screw on to the ego passthrough i have wont fire when it is screwed all the way down, if i back it off about 1/4 a turn it fires, but this makes my cartos/attys too loose on the battery. when i try to fire something that is screwed all the way in, the mattery just flashes at me. works fine if i back it off tho. any idea what's up.

have you tried pulling the pos. post on the battery up VERY SLIGHTLY? could be shorting out.

i dunno, i cant seem to get the batt post up any, im not used to pulling ego batts, the well is too deep for the thumbtack i use on my cartos.

i use a tiny micro driver. a paper clip will work as well. may try pulling the post on your carto/atty out some as well. im thinking that when your screwing it down all the way its compressing something and shorting out. whether the batt. or the atty/carto
