The problem is in the juice delivery system. It is the NUMBER ONE thing in vaping. The best PV on the planet isn't going to do a thing when your juice delivery system is crap. And eGo tanks are crap, outdated and it is a crime someone sold you one considering all the other alternatives out there now.

You can't judge a juice until you get something that vaporizes it correctly. The CE's/Stardusts/Equinox or whatever the vendor you buy one from calls it would be a good place to start. Make sure you get the rebuildable one and some extra heads so when one is drying after a cleaning and dry burning you can just pop a new one on.

And backups my friend. Never underestimate the value of backups, as the CE's will and do wear out where the plastic meets the metal. Just like most of the chinese crap out there, they are considered disposable. I still use one in my rotation on my eGo though, I have a soft spot for them even after the vivi novas have been banned. They just fit the eGo so perfectly.

Good luck!

Mocha Java in the 1st cartridge full was really good, second was gross so I think the atomizer made it taste gross and it could be how I am vaping that is ruining these things! I was vaping too hard and kept flooding it, vape too long and I fry out the damn atomizer... wth?! lol And from their website Vape Dudes says they mix it right before they send it. It's steeping up on the mantle, in fact if someone walked in my house without already knowing what it is they'd be wondering for sure!! lol
That's weird. I've vaped 11mg mocha java from Vape Dudes and it was fantastic. I'd rate it as in my top two vapes to be honest. I never had anything like your experience with it.
Did you steep it?
It may have some citric content but shouldn't be a juice that reacts with a tank.

I'm wondering if it needed steeping, or if something went wrong with your tank. I've seen this before, where some-one tried a new juice and complained of a strong horrible metallic sort of taste. After letting the juice steep they vaped it and found it was very nice.

ETA: Given their shipping times recently it should have been reasonably steeped. Unless they only mixed it just before they shipped it.

Those ego-c tanks and heads are touch and go at best. Sometimes the atty heads are so tight they won't wick juice, especially when they're new. A 50/50 mix can be too thick for those heads too depending on if the vender dilutes the mix. If you have a VERY THIN needle, slide it into the spike and wick being careful not to push the wick down. This will open up the wick a little and let juice flow faster.

Sounds to me like wicking issues. That 50/50 might have been too thick to chain vape and you may have burnt the filler in the atty head on a dry hit. If that's what happened the taste will not go away and you will have to replace the head. Hope you get it figured out. If the juice was the issue it would have been present right away on the first vape.

I think you are both correct and HOPEFULLY we will have all we need to get our Zmax with a vivi nova going tonight. The ego's will be our out and about vapes but hubs ordered the T3 clearomizers for them. instead of this junky thing that comes with it. HOPEFULLY that helps some.

Should help. Egos are widely used batteries but T3s should be much better than the tank you had. I'd be interested to hear how you find them.

I don't know what you have read about using the vivi novas, so here's a tip. After you fill the vivi leave it standing for about 15-20 minutes to let it wick up. Then tilt it horizontally and just roll it a few times. Then have a great vape with it.
Works a charm for me every time.

Ok - if it was really good first time around then its not the juice. If it tastes good when you get it then I wouldn't worry about steeping it. Some juice definitely needs steeping. Some people have sometimes complained of a "metallicy" taste in their juice that went away after steeping it, but it doesn't seem to be a common problem.
Getting that taste from an atty issue is more common.

It's going to be great when your stuff arrives and you can enjoy that mocha java - I love that flavor myself. :toast:

lol yep... vivi nova works GREAT, hubs is vaping classic tobacco out of it and I don't like it so once that runs out I plan on taking over the Zmax for a bit ;) with some Mocha Java which I am currently vaping out of the T3 and ego-c battery. I am curious though... I think from the T3 I am getting a little juice hitting the back of my throat. Is that possible? If so how am I doing that? Hitting it too hard? It's hard not to, I LOVE this stuff!!

If you're pulling on it the same way you would pull on a cig then yes you're hitting it too hard, lol. The trick for most atties is to take smooth, softer drags. Use the same force sucking in as you would if you were blowing bubbles with a jug of soapy water and a bubble wand. Takes some getting used to, but when you start getting it everything clicks and you gain muscle memory REAL fast cuz you're chasing a great vape at that point. Keep with it, it's worth it.
