Hi All,

Wanted to bounce this idea off some of you. I've been noticing that I get extremly irritable, and it seems to happen more when I vape. I dont vape all the time. Sometimes I go a week without it, no problem. But being a former smoker, you get that itch/craving and thats when I would pick up the vape. I guess im a casual vaper. (but I dont bum off anyone ;) )

I will vape mainly at work and not at home. I find in the evenings is when I become irritable and sometimes flat out angry, and I catch myself getting upset over something stupid sometimes...I started to wonder; could vaping be effecting my mood. At first I thought it was my liquid. I had tried from a new vendor, started noticing these "mood" changes. Stopped for a while (few weeks). Seemed to stop. Tried again last week with my main liquid vendor and noticed this weekend that I was kinda .....y, not like before, but enough to still take notice.

Nicotine affects cognitive funtion on our brains no? Could this be linked? Ive often wondered about nicotine in this form compared to tobacco. Are we introducing to much nicotine in our body?

The only other thing going on right now is I just finished removing all the mercury ("silver") fillings from my teeth, having my last wisdom tooth pulled on Friday which was the last one to have one. had about 8 removed total (I ate a lot of candy when I was young) Depepnding who you talk to about this; there is not enough evidnence that these cause any harm, to you are flat out mercury poisioned, you need to detox and spend a crap load on supplements and you can expireince any one of these 100 symptoms...

Oh and to mention, I use a very low strength: 4mg, which really sucks on the TH scale, but found I can get buzzed really easily going higher like at 8 or 12mg.

Weird no?

Theres a new zealand study, that shows the with the ruyan e-cig, at 16mg nic, you only absorb about half the nicotine per puff compared with smoking. However nicotine on its own (without the other chemicals), does seem to act more as a stimulant than a relaxant.

Perhaps you could add tea, or chamomile to your routine, just to balance things out?

Weird no?

Sorry, but Weird yes

Forgive me, but the experience for 'most' vapers is lack of nicotine makes us irritable.

Perhaps you're just detoxing from the mercury?.... This in all honesty is my best guess. :smokie:

Could be nic withdrawl. I remember the first time I ever quit smoking. People said I was down right miserable for a couple of weeks.

Ive been hearing about these juices with Alkaloids in them, but I always find that the strength of these are quie high more than I want to vape at...plus being in Canada, juices are hard enough to get here.

Well I cant vape now since my wisdom was pulled last friday and they told me to avoid smoking/drinking from a straw to avoid messing with the clot in the socket. Im gonna keep a log when I can vape again to see if my mood does get affected.
