You get what you pay for with batteries and with all these "dangerous" lithium ion batts going into every ecig device your going to get a negligent owner who leaves it on a charger unattended and it blows across the room. Rare cases from the little research I have done. Never had one blow up on me I just keep a close eye on my older batts when charging monitor how hot they get and dispose of if needed.

Im just concerned about my face , i know its a little weird. I am using S 510 joye (cig lookalikes only 170mAH) And 2 evod VV batteries (1100 MaH).

Should I be considered ?

I don't blame you ! I would be very unhappy if it went bang a few inches from my face. But no, you'll be fine - Keep calm and carry on vaping :)
Mind you - if it starts to feel very hot, throw it one way and run the other :)

Tara, I'm almost 4 years into using an e-cig. I use tip, atomizer, and battery. Everyone's choice is different. I have never heard of a battery blowing up in anyone's face. That's not to say that it can't happen, but this is the first I've ever heard of this. I would be interested in learning what brand of battery the person used. I suppose any battery could blow up....talking about all of the batteries that people use in electronics today. I have had an atomizer fall apart. I do clean my batteries by using a nail file to scoop all of the goo out of the battery connection and paper towels that doesn't leave residue on my battery charger. I feel that this prolongs the life of the battery and charger. I do know that if you place the wrong charger end on a car battery to jump it off it will blow up in your face. My suggestion is to research it. Odds are the chances of this happening are very high. Lets see what others have to say by their posts. I wish you well. An e-cig was the bridge of getting off of tobacco for me. I pray it does the same for you! :)

Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? Not if you follow basic rules of battery safety. I just went to a great class on the subject at DC Vapefest. A few of their key points: buy the best quality batteries available, don't store them loose in your pocket or purse or junk drawer where they can short out on other metal objects, let them rest about half an hour after taking them off the charger, and, if you see any damage to a battery, don't use it. Get a good quality charger, and don't leave the battery on the charger overnight. And realize that no battery lasts forever. (props to Zen and Neil Helland for this information).
