Hi everyone. First post.

After a week's worth of extensive research, I finally dove into the water... and instantly slammed my head into the floor of the pool.

I ordered a Go-Go from CigEasy late Wednesday afternoon, and it arrived Friday morning... 42 hours after I placed the order. That must be a record for fast shipping. Anyhow, since this is my 1st e-cig, I opened it up and carefully read the instructions. I put the Go-Go together with one of the pre-filled menthol cartomizers and gave it a whirl.

OK, please remember that this is my 1st e-cig, so I don't know anything, but I felt like I had just been nuked with a canister of mustard gas. It tasted like a mouthful of gasoline, made my throat feel like it had been splashed with sulfuric acid, sent me into full coughing spasms, left a horrible disgusting chemical aftertaste that stayed in my head for hours, and actually made me feel poisoned for the rest of the day.

Believe it or not, I thought that this might be a "getting used to it" sort of thing, so I actually repeated this experience several times, but it only got worse, so I eventually gave it up.

What's the problem? I tried all five pre-filled cartomizers with the same result. Is the pre-fill liquid bad? Are the cartomizers faulty? Should I order 5 new blank carts and try other liquid? Is there something else that I just don't understand?

I just now e-mailed Cig Easy, but I wanted to see if anyone here might have some insight or suggestions.

BTW, other than my poisonous mustard gas experience, I really do like the Go-Go. For my 1st e-cig, I like the way it feels and operates. I am so eager to get this problem solved, because I know that this is going to be a blast.

Majority of the time, those pre-filled cartomizers taste terrible. The only ones I like are from V4L (I don't know if they are compatible with your Go-Go). However, don't give up yet. There is harmony on the horizon. Get blanks and some different juices that you think you may like. Here is a list that I've compiled of vendors that sell sample sizes fairly reasonable. juice is going to be the hardest part in your journey...finding the right taste and mg nic to curve your cravings.

Thanks for your input. I am not so easily discouraged as to be put off by a little near-death experience with mustard gas. Any day now, I will be receiving juice orders from Liberty Flights and MyFreedomSmokes. Also, I'll get some blank carts for the Go-Go... "blank carts for my Go-Go, everybody."

First of all, I'll see what CigEasy has to say in response to my e-mail.

Here's one telltale noob question. When you fill a blank cartomizer, do you drip the juice into the outer cotton-looking filler material, or do you drip it into the center tube? I have no idea what I'm doing.

you want to drip along the edges and soak the filler material and stay away from the inner tube, as juice that falls into it will go straight through and come out of the bottom hole, do a quick google search on filling cartomizers and you will find several useful methods of getting juice soaked all the way through quickly, i like using the "taryn spin"

Get some blank cartos. The GoGo ones are rather large and hold almost 3 ml until you find a juice you like it is hard. I was lucky enough to have a vaping friend that told me what to buy etc..

The GoGo is a great PV, and I have one, but unfortunately you do not have a way to direct drip samplers. :( What I did was soak a GoGo carto then yank out the stuffing. Used a pipe cutter to shorten the tube, then snipped the center wick off near the coil at the bottom. Now you can order samples and direct drip to "try" out new flavors without commiting to a flavor and ruining a carto. I also use a 808 whistle tip so I don't have to "tailpipe" the GoGo. A shaved down wooden tip from a cheap cigar works too.

The only way to properly fill a GoGo carto IMO is a syringe. It is just too damn big to wait for juice to make it to the bottom and if it is heavy on VP your screwed.

I think pre-filled carts are forever cursed. Best one I had was only good for 20 puffs or so.
You might want to try a PG/VG mix juice. Personally, I find PG just a bit too harsh and VG way too smooth.

But always remember, different strokes for different folks.

Fairly new to vaping myself. The forum's google search bar and live chat have been extremely useful for me.

Hi Memphis Weirdo, and congratulations on trying a pretty great alternative to analogs!! My husband also got a Go Go, and the carts that come prefilled with it are 24 mg nicotine; he tasted one and threw it away! (I fished it out and cleaned it) He didn't care for the bottle of juice he bought from them at all either. My recommendation would be to buy the empty carts and then buy the juice elsewhere. If you go with a little lower nicotine level, it will be less harsh too. And you CAN buy an adapter at Cigeasy that would allow you to use the prefilled carts from Vapor4Life on the Go Go. They and the Kr808D-1, which is the size of the cartos at V4L are both 3.7 ohm batteries, so they would be compatible. Due to the smaller size from the Go Go cartomizer, I would just use them to sample V4L's juices, to find one you like, then buy that juice and use it in your cartos. They have some good flavors. Good Luck, and don't forget to let us know how you're doing. :)

Thanks to everyone for the tips and advise, but I'm still confused about the sheer nastiness of my experience. From reading around, it sounds like something in the cartomizer might have been burnt, or something.

I promise, I'm not being picky about this... is was noxious. What could do that to such an extreme? Are the Chinese trying to kill me by putting liquid rat poison in Go-Go cartomizers? It was that bad.

There are some good prefilleds out there. I'm not big on em since i like VG, but have used em and started on em.
I don't know a Go-Go. I'm curious of the model type, since most prefilled carto's out there do fairly well..far more than 20 puffs. My KR808D-1's last nearly as many drags as a cig pack, and the 510's surpass them a shade.
The 808 holds .9ml
The 510 holds 1.2ml

I'm not looking for any more pre-fills. In my insane exuberance to start this new vaping lifestyle, I ordered about $100 of various juices from different vendors. I'm not the kind of person who would lock in on just one flavor for life, so I'm really looking forward to filling up my own carts with different flavors.

Unfortunately, the only flavor I have right now is Mustard Gas.

Some reading about the GoGo which should really help you get go-going http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3-go-go-specific-thread-all-things-go-go.html. There are tutorials on taking apart the cartomizer and cleaning the liquid that you don't like out of them so you can fill them with a new liquid.

I bought a GoGo kit recently (blank cartos) and it took me a while to get it working right. The cartomizers that came with my kit were awful but the 5 pack of blanks that I bought perform great! I don't know why there was a difference. I haven't torn apart the first cartos yet to see if I can fix them (but the mod for dripping idea is great, so may just do that).

Hmmm...are you sure the cartos are actually pre filled? Maybe pop the little end cap off and look at the filler stuffing....it should look moist, and maybe be colored a little...on a fresh empty carto, the stuffing is pure white and will be bone dry...
What flavor did you order? Back when I got mine, they were pre filled with a tobacco of some sort....they weren't my favorite, but not noxious...
If your carto looks moist, while you have the cap off, try taking a straw, and tamping the stuffing down a little....towards the built in atomizer...I have heard of poor performance from folks who have pulled out the filler to clean it, then not quite getting it all the way back down...just a few thoughts...
Make sure you read the threads on the Gogo..I'll link one for ya...
Oh, and don't toss the cartos you have...you can clean and refill them with a different liquid..
Anyway, good luck to ya..

If you haven't already, go to eGo Type Models and read the Go-go threads.

I've had almost the same thing happen on one go carto that I bought from the same vendor. When it happened, I first thought that somehow the battery was leaking battery juice into the carto. It took a couple of hours to get that taste out of my mouth.

Since I was hesitant to just throw the carto away, I washed it out and fully refilled it with one of my not favorite juices. Very carefully I tried it again. The second time it tasted slightly burnt (instead of like acid) so I'm guessing that there was a dry spot in the filler which was burning before. That carto is now officially trashed in my mind.

Anyway, post a few more times and you can ask questions in the Go-go threads. They are very helpful. Personally, I'm not into rebuilding cartos but you will find other helpful info.

Welcome to vaping! I'm still loving my Go-gos. They do have some issues but then ALL PVs do.

:pWow... just off the top of my head... must be the pre-filled menthol cartomizers... do you have any other juice? So sorry you had the bad experience, taste is determined by the juice if you are using cartomizers and not attys... so hang in there... get some different juice and give that a try. Stick with it... your going to love it.

Congrats on your first e-cig!!!! The go-go is hard for experimenting with new juices. It holds so much! I know this is new, and probably a little daunting... but take your time and learn all there is to learn... you will be rewarded with rich tasty vapor and a healthier body! I do think all your issues are probably the pre-filled flavors....... some can be downright NASTY.

With that said... I would recommend getting the adaptor so that you dont use us so much juice with taste testing, and some smaller blank carto's. If you dont want to go that route... you can do what I do...

Get a syringe (20 gage I believe.. availabe at pharmacy or farm supply store) or order one with your blanks... I taste test my juices by injecting a half a mil as far into the bottom of the go-cart as possible. Then I take a couple of vapes... if I like it, I fill it... if I dont, I rinse it out several times with hot water, blow thru it till little or now water comes out the battery end, then bake it in the oven on the lowest setting for an hour to dry. Then grab another juice and repeat! :)

I have not made a dripper yet (see post further up the thread) and I should... but until then, use just enough to wet the bottom of the carto with a syringe and you wont waste alot of carto's that way.

Again, congrats on taking the steps to quitting ciggys!!
