Hi, I am fairly new to the forum and just found this woman's area today. It seems to be a great place, I love the sense of caring and compassion that has shown thru. While I really do not know any of you I want to share a health issue. Only because I think it may ease Skeeters worries a little. In 1995 while I was at work I got the worst headache I have ever had. I went home and later that evening collapsed. It turned out I had a brain aneurysm that I didn't know about. It had burst and was flooding my brain with blood. Prognosis was not good. But I made it. A lot of little issues still here, but nothing major. So skeeter if there is anything I can do to help please let me know. This happened again in 2003
and I am still here. Just as a little sidenote, my husband told me when I woke up I didn't know him, my kids, or even what state I was in but I wanted a cigarette!!!!!!!!

Welcome, outofbreath! Glad you found us. You're right, this subforum is full of loving, caring, and support for each other, as well as laughter and every now and then some chocolate ;) You'll love it here!

Glad you survived your aneurysms! Hope you don't want cigarettes anymore!

Skeeter, I hope you're taking time to take care of yourself through all this. Don't forget to sleep! Praying for both of you.

Good morning and welcome outofbreath!

Glad that you recovered and that you found us here!!

Don't listen to funny, the chocolate here is all calorie free. :p  (Funny, do you have any really luscious dessert-flavor liquids? they help me a bit when i have cravings for sweets, sort of the difference between eating one serving of m&ms and the whole bag  )

breakfast?

I have some very good dessert flavors, but I just put them down and go back to the tobacco flavors. And actually, the weight gain has nothing to with food -- it's a combo of the steroids I was on at first, then the inactivity. I don't usually have a prob with weight maintenance, cause I burn it off, but weight LOSS is whole nother animal! Once I get my new vv going and get back to vaping more, that keeps me satisfied and I eat less, so with all the PT and exercising at home, I should be good to go soon. :) It's just a lot more fun to blame you ladies and your chocolate! ;)

 I just LOVE that other people say it's good for them because it has fruit!!! That's what I always tell myself 'cause I make chocolate covered stawberries and chocolate sauce for dipping fruit all the time!!

Funny story on DH -- he's reeeeeeaaally funny -- I always describe him to people as a walking talking living breathing cartoon character! Anyway, good friend of ours is a massage therapist (yeah, it was AWEsome when she lived near us!) and she was giving him a massage and he was asking her what to do about the muscle cramps he was having. She told him the first thing to try always is eating a banana a day for the potassium. Well, little by little, word by word, he repeated that with alterations until it became "My doctor told me to eat a banana split every day!" That's his story and he's STILL sticking to it!!!
