I never would have thought it possible.
Smoking for 55yrs with around seven quit attempts (unsuccessful) under my belt it finally looks as if I have made the break.
Attempts using all the methods available except Champix(US=Chantix) which I refused to let mess with my head -
Hypnosis, patches - 3 times, gum, lozenges, cartridges in cig-holder device and nasal spray (ughh) I started reading up on ecigs and got a great deal of info/help from ECF.
I had read somewhere that if unsuccessful a few times ! with quitting, try nominating the cigs of the day that mean the most to you and smoke those while vaping the rest of the day then reduce the cigs gradually, so that was what I did, morning+coffee, lunch and evening.
3cigs/day first week starting July22nd and vaping with Inferno and carto-tanks.
Week2 and down to 2cigs/day and so pleased with progress that I jumped the gun (sorry, Baditude, couldn't wait for the 1yr vape-versary) and sent off for Provari with Protank(1) followed by 5xProtank2 from fasttech and never looked back from then on.
Week4 and morning ciggy only.
Smoked my last RYO Saturday morning 24 August and been ciggy-free since.
I didn't update my progress before since I could hardly believe my good luck and didn't want to tempt the fates.
These days I only fire-up the Inferno (sorry, sorry) when going out and about.
I was prompted to submit this because I saw that Agavehound must have quit around the same time so congrats to him/her as well - I hope they feel as chuffed as I do.
I wish all those starting out to quit all success, if I can do it so can you !
