Got a Smoktech 510 with an SR atomizer, 5 cartomizers, a drip tip, some Longbottom Leaf juice from epipemods, and some Twisted Tobacco from Coppercreek. They also sent me a couple of free samples of their house blend and black raspberry I believe. Have yet to try those two, but the Twisted Tobacco was pretty good. Apparently you have to let atomizers "break-in"? And you have to let recently mixed juice "steep"? I figure the atomizer breaking in means it performs better with usage. How do you let a juice steep? Does it basically age or something? It said on the little note I receive to just shake them up and enjoy. I just saw somewhere about steeping blended juices. They're a 40/60 PG/VG mix. Oh and any good ways to fill a cartomizer? I'm already enjoying vaping. Hopefully it'll keep tobacco at bay.

Some juices get better over time. They are ok to vape out of the bottle but if you've purchased juice and have extra try it after it has steeped for a while. Steeping is as easy as leaving in a cool dark place for a time. I notice a bit of a difference in a week.

With a new atomizer you need to first blow out the primer fluid that is in some atomizers. Wipe the battery end of the atty w/ a paper towel or something and blow through the atomizer into a paper towel. You'll see a tiny bit of liquid come out. This stuff tastes kinda rough so is a good practice. Some atomizers have special needs but for regular, everyday atomizers I start with about 5 drops onto the top of the atty, leave it for a few minutes, then fire it up. You can ensure that the atty is primed by taking several primer puffs (no inhale puffs) and blowing out. When you notice that the burnt or rough taste is replaced by flavor you are "primed." Make sure to put about 3 drops of liquid onto the atty when the flavor starts tasting "off." Try not to overfill but if you do, blow it out again as listed above and start over.

There are others who may chime in with better advice but this has worked well for me.

Best of Luck and Welcome to the ECF!!

Yea, atomizers need to break in because they have some kind of oil in them so that way they dont rust, thats why they taste wierd @ first.... Some juices do get better with time, specially if it was just mixed, I usually wait a week to vape new stuff. Here is the best way to fill a cartomizer, either do this or just drip on the sides until its moist.

Ok cool. Yeah all of my juices are sort of tasting the same for some reason. But I'm using a brand new atomizer and brand new cartomizer. I tried the House Blend from CopperCreek which is supposed to be pretty popular. Not getting the cake flavor, and all sorts of other wonderful flavors people rave about. But it probably needs to sit, I probably need to break in the atomizer, and maybe I should just drip it directly on an atomizer instead of putting it in a cartomizer.
