I've plunged in & put in an order to vape4life last tuesday & according to the usps tracker it is here in Bozeman this morning & on it's way for delivery!!! I can hardly contain myself I'm so freaking excited. I've been reading up on the various ecigs & options & it's sortof overwhelming all the different options & info out there. I'm also trying to not get too excited as I don't want to jinx myself. But I'm so sick of the cough & the smell & the $ going out for analogs that I can't help myself being super hopeful after reading other's experiences & success's with the ecig.

Welcome to ECF. Great first order. You're gonna love the Riva. Sounds like my first order a couple of weeks ago. I bought xtra everything. I didn't want to take a chance and get started vaping and have to stop for any reason. Good luck & stick around.
OMG that thing about choked me to death. I charged the batt for 8 hours and then used it for 20 min. now back on charge for an hour. I have read where people say to hit it for 3 to 5 sec. so that's what I did the first time and man that stuff is stout. LOL

Did you blow out the primer fluid in the atomizer? Then take a few drags without inhaling to be sure it's gone? I didn't know to do that. My first experience vaping wasn't enjoyable. I couldn't understand how people were enjoying this as much as the videos portrayed.
I know the vapor used to "hit" me a lot more when I first started. I think I was inhaling it when I was drawing, where now I draw into my mouth for a few seconds and then inhale.

Yes, the draw is different than it is for an analog in that you need much less. The draw with the Riva seems to me to be pretty close to that of a properly filled pipe. Light and steady. You'll get the hang of it!
Try drawing the vapor into your mouth first, rather than inhaling it directly like a cig - that should make it a bit easier. Don't forget to drink extra water, too.

After 40 years of smoking cigarettes, I totally quit on vape day 2 and ain't looking back - ever. When that "urge" hits me, and it will, I vape away for awhile and it's gone. I vape 36mg and realize many can't do that but it is no sweat for me. To each their own. All I know and all I care about is quitting for ME. I did it and I am so grateful. I feel better, I smell better, I taste better, I AM better, and my body thanks me every day. It's still hard to believe, but I'm digging it for sure.

Nope I forgot to do that, but I did prime with about three drops before I put the cart on.
RIP - the taste is different but you will soon learn to prefer it. I promise. I wasn't sure about the taste, and I was kind of turned off for a few, then two days later, I am so used to the taste, I don't want anything else.
Its very exiting. Gets even more exiting once you realize you have quit smoking and you wait on the mailman like a dog everyday for even more goodies. You realize one day you can smell again. You can work out without throwin up after. If your a dating man like me, you open up the other 50% of females out there that hate smoking, but will actually vape on your PV out of curiousity 8)
(if there is a funky taste, blow out the atty and re-load...if no funky taste...keep on going !) I had to giggle at "OMG that thing about choked me to death".....we've all been there !!!!! Vaping is a bit different than smoking ! Sounds like you are happy !?!?!?!?
Happy yes, I got up today got my coffee and my riva and I'm good to go. I have the coffee and ry4 coming in tomorrow so that is a good thing, this MRL flavor is okay but not really what I'm looking for. All in all I think this is going to work just fine.
