Hi All -

Yesterday afternoon I got my charger and so I charged my batteries up and really got into some vaping sessions. All was good.

Last night I recieved my 1st package from Issac batteries 801 atomizers etc.

Tonight I thought, time to use an atomizer and so I got a cart out... I have only been using cartomizers - actually of late I had pulled most of the innards out of a few of my 808s and have been kinda dripping into them - I used the 901 adapter to vape from my chameleon. So, back to the new atomizer/cart set up: I really didn't know how to fill the cart - I think I put it together with the atomizer right though. I tried the condom method, using one of my 808 caps and waited. It didn't pick up much so I poured the extra juice into the cart and then for good measure I added maybe 8 drops. Well I put this on the atomizer and put the atomizer on the chameleon. I know I had at least a few drags - kinda light but something. Then nothing. Nothing. No voltage.

Grimly I went and looked at this forum and rather quickly fround Chameleon Tips & Tricks and the very first tip applied. I didn't have any sandpaper that I could find that wasn't very course - but then I found a fine knife sharpening stone and followed Issacs directions. And it worked - I fixed it (with a little info from Mr Issac)!

Just beautiful Alisa!
That's great that you actually researched and remedied your problem with finesse even! That really speaks very highly of your character and all more exciting to have you here.
About the 801., without a multimeter, the best way to proceed is to give one a shot on 3.7V or even 6V for just a second ofcourse. First add 6-8 drops and take a couple of light pulls, if you feel the warmth intensely with burnage on 6V then we'll know which it is. If it is faint and awfully light on 3.7V, then well ;) I do recommend going the 3.7V route first.

Ok Issac, I have the answer - the 801 full size (I tried both) are HV, very light on 3.7 but good on 6 v (what isn't?). Thank you for the very nice compliment too. I'm glad to be here. BTW, I dripped with the 801, I still need to learn how to fill the carts effectively - I think I've got the attachment of the carts figured out. 801's dripped were warm full taste and lots of vapor at 6 volts. Very nice.

Ahh very nice!
Really Alisa, I would suggest just to stay away from the carts. They're too big and the sessions don't really last so long. If you keep your unit in an upright position and let it set, say overnight. You may wake up to a rather large mess or just a flooded atomizer. The polyfill that's in them as standard don't retain too well. There are tons of alternatives to remedy this such as the Teabag method using actual rolled up teabags, Blue Slug that uses fish foam filler found in tanks, Spring mods that uses a pen's internal spring sideways then a piece of 100% polyester batting wadded in a ball to sit on the top and I'm sure many more.
Dripping techniques allow you liquid control and is very easy to pick up after a day's of use. Personally, I'm a huge conservative that starts off small. When I drip, I only add 3 drops to run down the inner wall of the 801 and vape a session (probably 6-8 pulls) and put it down. I came to the point of not even using the beloved whistle tip. Just straight piping. Straight piping is pretty self explanatory. (No tips of any kind on the 801) ;)

I finally gave up on foam filler'd carts after a long love/hate relationship with them... especially the 801 carts... with such a large liquid capacity, they have an equally large mess making capacity. I always had the best results with the blue foam, and better luck with 901/510 carts than 801s in terms of leaking, but the 901 has that little hole on the side that can get leaky.

Now i'm just dripping 801s and quite happy with it, no more fussing with paperclips and prepping/cleaning stuffing materials and such.

Glad your lovin it. Knew I should have bought it when I saw it.
Even worse, Vaporologist offered me his, which I stupidly passed on.
But now it becomes personal. I might have/hopefully helped Isaac name his new version, so I have to get one of them.
Even if I don't need it, I'll have to buy it just to make sure IkenVape stays in business.
Isaac is definitely one of the best around.

Ugh, we all be there
I think I like straight piping better. Thanks for the tips.
Very cool Alisa, regarding your email. What were you looking forward to ordering? If it will be coming soon, I'll wait to ship out your 2.0's. If not, I'll get you out tomorrow morning.

Issac, I will be ordering pretty soon if you will be putting new inventory up - I thought that was the case. If inventory won't be going up soon I still have a couple of items to get.

cappadoc, yes, I had noticed you had a option right away to get the chameleon - later I saw it in the classifieds. cappadoc, cappadoc.

I gotcha Alisa, but when you say inventory. Which items were you looking for in particular so hopefully I can give you a time frame. ;)

Switched - an eraser - so cool, much better than my putting on my head lamp and searching in my cold garage for a suitable contact cleaner - and Issac said I had finesse (if only he had seen me).

Issac, I am planning to buy some different types of atomizers - and maybe anything else you recommend.

cappadoc, cappadoc...
