I do not understand. I do not see grooves on the center pin inside the hole. I only see slight groves on the outside edge as seen here.

Oh wait you are referring to the tank or the iTaste?

Ok. Since you have figured out that one pt works and the other one does not, it means the one that does not is not making contact with the center pin on your battery. So, leave the battery alone and look at where you connect the pt to the battery, there is a small head like object, yes?
On that object is a very small slot that when you use a small screwdriver you can turn to lower it. Only quarter turn to the left, then put it back on the battery and test it. If still not working, do it again. I have done this many times so just take it slow.

I have been turning a quarter turn (counter clockwise) for many turns lol. Hopefully I am doing what you meant! What do I do if this pins comes out? Will it just screw back in? I'm sorry I feel so stupid...

Don't feel stupid, then is how we all learn. You and me and anyone else following this thread.
I didn't have any teachers, just trial and error. lol

Ok after my last attempt I got a little vapor but the worse possible taste. It burned my throat bad and tasted like something was on fire. I am not sure if this is normal and if I should continue?

What are the setting you have on the battery? And what ohm is the head? What type of ejuice? And with the bottom coils you have to prime them(what I call it anyway). After filling, let it set a few minutes. Then after putting the tank on the battery try a couple of tokes without pushing the fire pin. this draws liquid into the head and coil area.

Yes; the first time I had that kind of problem, just tightening down the head pushed it a teeeny bit downward to make electrical contact
Agreed, but I think he did that already(at least I hope so). but I have had a couple that were like the one he is describing.

Its hard when you are new.

Lmao glad I could help...sort of. Now that I have it all working, I am very pleased with my purchase and I'm sure you will be as well! I will also be sure to continue posting threads to aide you in the future so keep en eye out lol.

So tell us what happened. Did you watch the video I posted?

:)

Yes I watched the video and thank you for being my saving grace yet again sugar!

The connector on the battery's end was fine it was the pt that was the problem, just as you suspected. I continued to keeping turning a quarter of a turn at a time until I started producing vapor.

The burning taste I had lol was something completely different (embarrassed). Before attempting this, I cleaned out all of my iClear 16's and dry burned the coils. Uh...yea I forgot to turn the volts back down so the burning taste was 100% user error. Haha lesson learned!

Thanks for the link and I may use it in the future. I plan on attempting to rebuild coils which will be another thread of panic in the future I'm sure lol.

Thanks again everyone. I am slowly becoming less of a newb each day! ;)

Hint for you. If you are friends, then you can keep up with all of your friends by clicking on the myprofile button at top right of screen, left of settings button. This is a quick way to see what your friends are posting about.

Not sure how much help I can be about re-building. I know a little but since I don't re-build I probably am not the best one to give advise.

Glad it all worked out for you. And you never did answer about whether or not you have a second battery. Backups for your backups. If you had had a 2nd battery, your anxiety level would have been much lower. LOL

:)

I have watched a few videos and have been chatting with a few members and surprisingly think I will be good with rebuilding (fingers crossed). Haha maybe I will be able to help teach you something for a change.

I have not got a second battery yet but plan to in the next week or two. I enjoy the iTaste VV V3 so much that I plan to buy a second.

3 weeks in to vaping and I already have 1 mod, 7 tanks, and 6 bottles of juice with intenions to buy another mod, a couple more tanks, and course more juice. Oh and I can't forget supplies for rebuilding. Loving my new hobby!
