This is the second time tonight that i have done this (any others here?)

have my black reg batt. with cart sitting on the computer desk that i am vaping regularly right now (i know, but i left the PT downstairs.... and wont get it until i need to refresh my "tasty beverage"!)

....and twice now,

i have picked up, and subsequently tried to vape a bic pen:w00t:
unintentionally!!!

the worst part is,
i have taken full drags off of the pen before noticing the problem:oops:

Was it the lack of throat hit that tipped you off?? LOL

i know its funny and all,

but i take the mouth fill approach, then inhale....

so i actually sat there and tried to seriously vape a pen.... it wasnt until the inhale part that i noticed.... both times:oops:

.....maybe,

just maybe....

or on second thought...

definetely not...

do i need to stop partaking in the "beverages of choice"

I've done this twice tonight. I keep sneaking small puffs at my desk. Trying to vape and not set off the data centers halon system is hard work.

you have to fill me in on what exactly a halon-system-detector-thingie-ma-bobber is???

obviously (from the way you state it), it will sense the vapor you are producing..... but why.....
what is its actual purpose....?
like a smoke detector..
or something more in depth?

He works in a computer area, most are set up in "sealed" rooms and if there is a fire the fill the room with halon, an inert gas that takes the oxygen out of the room almost instantly to extinguish fires and prevent loss of data. It's a PITA system to set up, and even harder to understand what does and doesn't set the system off.

A Halon discharge system replaces traditional fire sprinklers. They're used mostly in places that have lots and lots of electronic equipment that would not react well to water. 8-o

It smothers the fire by displacing oxygen. You don't want to be around if it goes off.

I've vaped in data centers, telco central offices and I even work in a telecom lab. I don't think the vapor has any chance of setting off the detectors unless, possibly, if you blew it directly on them. If you blow it downward, it should get cooled and dispersed and fall to the floor long before it gets to the ceiling.
