than I was a week ago.
I bought an EGO kit from Liberty-Flights, plus some empty tanks and a some juice. I have to say they give GREAT service and have fabulous prices!
I'm liking the EGO, the tank and all that, BUT... I'm still smoking analogs. Not many, just 3-8 per day, compared to the ~2 PPD I was smoking.
I'll be vaping along, and BAM! I just gotta have a REAL cig! Mind you, I hardly ever smoke the whole thing at one sitting anymore. But, especially after a meal, a Virginia Slims is what fits my bill.
So, whaddya think? Am I hopeless? Or helpless?
ps: I find my batts and tanks lasting a lot longer than what most people claim, and I swear I have the thing in my mouth more than I ever did analogs. What's up with that?

Don't beat yourself up over it, and don't put PRESSURE on yourself that this HAS to replace regular cigarettes.

The same feeling hits me....I light a real one, take a few drags, realize how bad it tastes, and go back to vaping.

The real ones are slowly eliminating themselves anyway, especially as I've found better juices.

Its different for everyone. When I first started vaping, I ordered 4 different flavors, but they were ALL 16mg. That wasn't cutting the bill for me. A lot of times I still wanted to smoke. So my next order was ALL 24mg. That did it for me, however there are some times when that still doesn't do it, so I just ordered 150ml of 36mg to get me through those times when I still want to smoke. I had read on here that it helps to use a higher mg when I wake up, after a meal, when I'm drinking coffee.....stuff like that. My wife today finally did it. Although she had to take the rest of her smokes and tear them up and trow them away. I also find that chain vaping helps me out in those times when I REALLY want to smoke. I just keep on inhaling until my ego clone cuts me off (I think it's 15 seconds) take a drag, and when I'm taking that next drag I'm exhaling my first one out of my nose, I do that 5 times in a row. Then repeat till I feel satisfied.
That and the Valium my Doc gave me. That helps too sometimes. It's gotten that bad I think three times in the two week since I quit.
Good luck!
You can do it! Just keep on vaping.
I went from 3-5 packs a day, the 5 a day was on VERY stressful days. I had been smoking for 25+ years.

I was doing just the same thing as you. I was a 2 pack a day smoker then last Thursday I got my PV. By the next day I was down to 10 or less a day. I ran outta cigs on the 9th & haven't had one since. I can't say it has been easy but each day has gotten better. I really don't want to smoke anymore....I am on day 4 & it is 4x easier than day 1! Good luck!

I think you are doing great! For me, vaping was like a cure for smoking: after a while the cigs just taste so horrid, I couldn't go back to them now even if I wanted to. Just do it the way you are doing it now and pretty soon you just won't even want to light one up - you'll start dreading the taste.

It'll work out for you, I know it. :)

Hi Emily,

going from 2 packs a day to 3-8 smokes is fabulous! You should be proud of that in itself. :) I was similar, a week and a half I vaped and was still smoking analogs. Way down from what I had been smoking, but still a few. But I noticed that the less I smoked, the better I felt. I noticed that I could breath better, that soon. Once I got down to only 2 or 3 a day, I started paying attention to the physical sensations that accompanied smoking. There was the headrush, and what felt like a headrush in my skin, if that makes any sense. It was not very pleasant. The taste was not good, but it was probably the least unpleasant part for me. But, like a dedicated smoker, I still kept doing it. And then I got my new juices last wed. The tobacco that I got was less sweet than what I had been vaping, with a better TH. The very first puff and I knew that's what I had been missing. I haven't had a cigarette since, and have only thought about it a few times.

It may be that you are just not quite there yet, or that you haven't found the right juice that will satisfy you at those times like after dinner. But no matter what, rather than letting it bother you that you still smoke a few, think about the 35 or so that you DON'T smoke everyday. That's something to feel good about. :D

Ditto here. Took me almost a month before I put the analogs down for good. 4 weeks and counting and now the very smell of them from 30ft away makes me ill. Those damn things STINK!

Stick with it, make sure your equipment is operating as it should (I found once I figured out how to get good throat hit the desire for an analog vanished), and you'll get there.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! Everyone on this forum is so helpful and supportive. :)
I AM proud of the progress I'm making, and so is my husband, bless his heart. I sent an email to my dr. informing her of what I'm doing. I believe she'll be happy for me.
I must say I'm very happy with the equipment I have: an EGO (dual set from LF), 2 tank attys, some extra cartos I ordered, liquid (I just ordered more yesterday). Everything is working great. I did a lot of research before I ordered and I'm glad I put it off for that week or 2 while I was investigating. Overpaying for the wrong equipment would have annoyed me!

Emily ... I am in the EXACT same place as you. 1.5 to 2 PAD and started vaping. At first it was great watching the number of smokes I had each day dwindle. And when I tried strictly vaping I had nic level issues and HAD to have the analog. Got that taken care of and still I WANTED to have just that one. I keep reading posts how "as soon as I got my PV I stopped" ... or the "I have a few last packs around for emergencies". I CANNOT DO THAT. If they are here they get smoked. I have to remind myself at the store that I don't want a pack of cigarettes. It's been a solid week now but daily I have to remind myself I don't want them and hit my PV and the feeling eventually passes. I have LOTS of juice in many flavors and nic levels ... just keep mixing it up. It's getting easier but I still love the smell of a cigarette. You will eventually pull the trigger and say that's enough just hang in there.
