The ego family is the best (imho) for starting to vape. My 1st ego was the same as you want and it was awesome! It got/kept me off the analogs. I'm not a big fan of cartos personally as I prefer clearomizers but the ego system has tons of accessories which will allow you to use cartos, clearomizers and attys. I wish you the best of luck as you walk down the road of vaping leaving the analog behind.

Hi Bardo!

I agree with Crazy. The Ego battery is a solid performer. I have three of these batteries that have been abused for two years and they still rock. I got a Provari, but the Egos are my back-up plan ;). Also, the Ego uses the very common 510 connector, so as you experiment with different atomizers and systems (and you will, resistance is futile), the Ego battery is a great platform for that.

Merry X-mas and Happy Vaping!

Nice sounding setup, the only thing I would suggest is picking up some Kanger T2's as back ups. As you want to ensure you have a fallback plan that doesn't include going back to smoking.

Only reason I suggest the T2's is the fact they are cheap, work well (on ego's), holds 2.4l of juice and can replace the heads. You should be able to find a 5 pack of these for around $20 shipped to your door.

Either way enjoy your new vaper no matter what you decide on cause it will be better than smoking.

Cheers

Just about every vaper here has an ego style pv in their arsenal ... they're that common. And the reason they are common is a good one. They're an affordable and well working pv that can be taken anywhere without the major fear of losing or damaging it (cheaper to replace if this happens).

Ego's have a hard time keeping up with dual coils though. However you very well may not notice. You CAN use standard cartos in that tank.

Welcome to the forum! I would stay away from the dual carto's on a eGo battery, they really aren't powerful enough to handle them. Go for the single coils, or get a Kranger T3, Stardust, Mini Vivi Nova in the 2.0 Ω~2.4 Ω range.
I would also personally go for a eGo Twist, or a Spinner. Those are variable volt which allows one to better dial in the flavor with different juices.

Asking my wife to buy this.......
Ego Dual Coil Cartomizer 3.5 mL Tank Kit
For my Christmass present.
Buddy at work recomended this for me.
Any opinions?

Agreed. Good setup but wouldn't recommend a dual coil. I say do the eGo Twist. You'll b e happy you did.
