To be clear, I wasn't looking at the twist. From what I've researched, this is better. If I am wrong, please, please, PLEASE let me know.

ego variable voltage

To clarify, "eGo" is a class of battery, not a brand. Apollo, Joytech (Twist), and Vision (Spinner) are manufacturers or distributors of different eGo batteries.

I have no experience with the Apollo brand and don't recall reading anything good or bad about them. The added features that it has over the Twist and Spinner look appealing and worthwhile. I still recommend two batteries per person, and two chargers per person.

Also no experience with Johnson's Creek juices.

Would I still need two batteries per person if I get the one I'm looking at ego variable voltage is a passthrough, and we both have jobs where we are at computers all day?

If those batteries are passthrough and you are allowed to vape at your desk you can probably make it work. Though you will both have to be very conscientious about managing your "unwired" time vaping.

Long run you really do need 2 batteries each.

Thank you for your help. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't buying a crappy ego. My research has shown that some previous eGos were not all that great. Gonna pull the trigger on the eGo VV, then. Any thoughts on the dual coil cartomizer tank? Will that do me and my wife alright? I don't know if this helps, but both my wife and I are using blu disposables right now, which is a cartomizer, too.

If you go for the eGo VV, be veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery careful with the button. It tears easily.

I had heard that, which is why I was planning on going with the stainless steel one, with a hard plastic button jutting out the side. Figured it would be fine, since it had the 5-click-in-5-seconds standby mode. Thank your for your concern, though!

DCT tanks should work fine with an eGo battery. Just know that you can use single coil cartomizers in a DCT (dual coil tank) just fine. Many people mistakenly believe only dual coil cartos can be used.

And of course, they need to be pre-punched or you will need a carto punch tool to make your own holes. I also highly recommend picking up a tank accessory tool as suggested in my blog article on cartotank setup to save your tank's o-rings and to make filling it easier.

Many people pick up an accessory called a eGo cone cover to hide the connection between the battery and the juice delivery device. Purely for aesthetics.

I'm new to this too, but I've bought a TON of equipment over the past few weeks. I don't have a dual coil carto. So, I may not know what I'm missing. But, I can tell you out of all the stuff I've tried so far, I'm very content with simple, non-variable volt eGo batteries paired up with an eVod clearo.

Oh, and BTW I've placed a few orders with Apollo and everything has gone well thus far - fast shipping, items seem to be of good quality.

Might as well tell you what I did.
I got the KGO kit from Hoosiereicg.com. Although it not vv, the KGO kit comes complete with 2 great batteries, charger, clearomizers & is ready to vape. It's a great kit to get you going & you will use it even if you upgrade down the road.
I don't know how to copy & paste links. There is a review by P Busardo on you tube or his website " tasteyourjuice.com & just search for KGO.
I'm very happy with it & the entire kit is approx. $45

It's definitely worth a look. Their customer service is great & the kits are complete except for juice. The batteries will last all day if not more & they also have KGO VV batteries that rival the spinners & twists.
Check it out.

Like you, I'm taking the plunge as well and was looking at the variable voltage ego type and then learned about the Vamo V2 (ego apv). It's a variable volt/variable watt. It can use the 18650 battery or one and/or two 18350 batteries so there's no need to plug the Vamo into a charger. Just simply change the batteries for charged ones and keep going... Pbusardo has a wonderfully informative review on youtube for the Vamo and vaporbreak has a tremendous deal for the unit alone (no batteries or peripherals and if you log in, you can get an even better deal!) It does ship from the other side of the globe so if you don't mind waiting, it's worth it. At least that's what I hope since that's where I'm getting mine from!

I'm gonna get one of these because they are really cheap and don't need a battery to charge, then get a Vamo with a 18350 if I like vaping enough .

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I went for apollo's stainless steel Ejoy VV 1200mAh passthrough, with the 6.0mL dual coil cart tanks and a couple of Ming drip tips for me and my wife (I don't know if I need them, I just like the look of them better, and they were compatible). I'll buy a clearomizer in a few weeks, when I can afford it. Also, I'm going to take a gamble on JC's Tundra to try and get the blu disposable flavor without the crappiness of a blu! I want to thank all of you for all your advice. I don't know if I could have pulled the trigger without your guy's know-how, and probably would have gone for a blu look-a-like and been miserable! Wish me and the Mrs. luck!

Well, at least through apollo's website, the ego VV is 510 threaded, so you can use most prefilled carts with the eGo VV, while choosing your own voltage. I was assured that I would be able to use my remaining blu carts on the VV, so long as they weren't the 10 dollar blu disposables (those don't unscrew; you throw the whole thing away when the battery dies).

You can even buy said carts through apollo. I spoke to the chat staff at apollo for over an hour, going over all the details and having them answer every question I had. Even if you don't go through them, I would recommend chatting with them. There's an ocean of information out there for new users, so, at bare minimum, live chatting with someone who sells and uses the stuff can't hurt.

These are from Fasttech.com. Both are VV. shipping time is about two weeks but the price is great. $9.65 1100mAh USB Rechargeable Battery for EGO-V E-Cigarette - colored light indicators / adjustable voltages at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping and
A KGO - $17.83 EGO-V 650mAh USB Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette - champagne / adjustable voltages at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping . Vapor Joes recommends them. I am waiting for a KGO to take with me to work. I started with a Ego C, then a Vamo and finally a Evic since February. Get the best you can afford because you will be looking to upgrade befor you know it.

And these CE4 for a great price
