Finally got my order. There was some mix up, so I ended up getting 2 different e-cigs by mistake. I originally ordered RN4081 kit + extra battery and atomizers and usb charger, but it came with DSE901 kit + RN4081 batteries + RN4081 atomizer / usb charger. Using USB and AC, I charged both up and puffed more than I should have...
and here's my first impression.
I didn't really have much problem with initial primer taste that I was so afraid of - perhaps because I was dripping onto atomizer directly. Much sweeter than I anticipated even with regular tobacco flavor.
Vapor production for dripping rn4081 was better and easier than my anticipation - short prim puff with slow-even puff - but I'm having a bit of hard time with dse901, which I'm using included carts and tasted some liquid from the pre-filled cart - which wasn't too pleasant - but I think I'll get hang of it eventually for that as well. Right now, I'm prefering rn4081 direct dripping than DSE901's cart - and I also tried to drip on DSE901 - but the sampler bottles have little short neck, so I was missing the wick often. (now washed and being dried).
I also got pretty good juices from PV and TW, so the throat hit was rather good on low 11mg ones, and higher ones definitely had more kick to it. I'm getting a little bit of dry-mouth and throat - but that was to be expected.
However, the thing that was little bit let down was the true "chest" hit. The vapor, perhaps wasn't hot enough or heavy enough to really fill my lungs like analogs. I was buzzed with nicotine, no problem - and the inhaling part is definitely there - but the "chest" hit just didn't occur for my 2 minis.
I also have a 3rd one coming my way (DSE801) with usb pass-through - and hope it would be a bit better for the "chest" hit.... (due to the order mix up, I'm a total newb, but already have 3 e-cig units! LOL! Well, now I have my back-ups covered.
One thing for sure is that I'm enjoying vaping. It really does mimick the sensation of smoking quite well - except above mentioned lung hit. Perhaps when I inhale, I'd hold out a bit longer to exhale - maybe that would help too. But it does seem like I'm taking too much nicotine, and feel little buzzed right now. I'm a moderate smoker who smokes about half ppd to 3/4 ppd normally, with Marlboro Lights. (about 15 yr history... over broken heart) So I'm planning to stick to 0mg and vape alot, and drip 11mg/18mg juices that I have only when I have some serious nic craving.
I was quite excited, and my journey of getting an e-cig actually was testing my patience - that out of 3 places I tried, 2 of them were out of stock, and 1 had a little bit of mistake, which my order was processed but not shipped. But finally, after 3 long weeks of trying out different places, I have mine... I really can't say the experience wasn't good. However, it wasn't as good as I hoped to be, due to the lack of "chest" hit.
I'm about to go to bed now, and just had an analog for that "chest" hit. Yes, compare to e-cigs, they do tast like ****, but it did deliver some chest hit I have 4 more analogs left in the box, and I do plan to quit the analog for good, when those are gone tomorrow morning.
Maybe I had my hopes too high - but my first e-cig experience wasn't total failure either, and I am willing to go down the vaping only road from now on.
I'm a rather lazy one to cut/make my own 0mg juice - I'd like to ask some advice/recommendation for any good 0mg juice - that has plenty of vapor. (Throat hit isn't too important, as I know most 0mg doesn't have much of kicks).
Lastly, I appreciate, and would like to thank everyone on this forum for sharing your thoughts and wisdom - that during the past 3 weeks of waiting, I learned quite a lot.
