Hello, My name is Lil Dreezy. I have been vaping since October 2010.

I made the all too common mistake of starting with blu. My girlfriend got me a Volcano Magma for Christmas, and I am proud to say I am officially smoke free as of Jan 30th, 2011!. I still need to get one of those cool banners for my signature. I now vape a Volcano Inferno, which arrived THE DAY I had my last cigarette. I'm not a religious man, but I found that pretty cool! Needless to say, I freaking love the thing, and wish I would have started on it.

My vendors of choice are alien Visions, E Liquid Planet, and, I know some of you will raise your eyebrows, Johnson Creek! Can't wait to really join in the forums, but I need to prove I'm not spam, so if this ain't evidence, I don't know what is!:p

Vape on!

Guess I'll jump in since I need my posts as well. Smoke free all of 4 weeks here. Made the mistake of getting into this by buying one the "Smoke Anywhere" mall kiosks. It is still working well, but after reading on here Im learning I could have gotten better for the money. I find myself "dripping" constantly to get the throat hit I prefer.

Looking at the EGO with a passthrough for my next purchase...but still looking...any recommendations for a new vaper who prefers a good strong throat hit, doesn't want to constantly drip and still loves the flavor of tobacco?

Lil Dreezy, yep I made the same mistake with the Blu as well. I am now using a Tornado/Ego and haven't looked back. I Love this thing!! I've been smoke free for over a month after 30 years of puffing away. After trying my tornado I have had several friends put down the smokes and get one too. Good times.

I will be getting a tank soon. Can't wait.

You can try the Riva 510 from liberty flights is a kit, you get two batteries, two attys, and all the carts for the GREAT price of $30, then you can also order their tank atomizer, and tank carts for $20 for the both. So for $50 younget the equivalent of a new Joye ego-t kit (which costs $70-$90 depending on vender) I have that atty and cart on order from them. Vie heard its the closest to dripping without all the mess. Plus you get GREAT throat hit with the ego/ego clones.
I'm vaping with a clone and am loving it. Just make sure you have a good juicemfor th too. I was never a menthol smoker, but I'm loving it now, real big th, and it's satisfying like a real smoke.
I'm finding my taste buds are changing too, I'm smoke free for two weeks, and just switched back to a USA (marlboro clone) juice, and themorigional taste was just weird. Now it tastes like what a new pack of smokes SMELLS like. It's actually very enjoyable. Anyway good luck man, and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping.

Thanks for the advice. I went to the site, but the prices are higher than you said. Not much though. I think it's that there are so many models available. It's throwing me a little. That and I'm still learning the lingo. From what I've read so far, I can see it's a trial and error process to find whats right for you, but Im not wanting to break the bank testing out multiple models. I got into this to STOP the expense. ;)

And not to sound like a TOTAL NOOB, but what the heck is the cone for? LOL!

Ah the cone! it actually does a couple of things- it helps with air circulation when you drag, and it makes the eGo look slick! of course!
If you are looking for good TH you might really like the eGo (even without the tank). I used mine with Boge cartomizers before I got my tanks and it worked really well. I actually get better TH from my puresmoker V3, but that is a mod, and running at 5-6v and is almost a completely different kettle of fish.
As to stopping the expense? well, I do save money now, but I have the hardware that I like, and the juices that I like and spend about $60/month on upkeep. When I first started... well, lets just say that my break even point got pushed back a little bit:blush:
and pay no attention to the fact that I am saving up for a vv ali'i!

I forgot to mention, on the top left hand side of the web page is a button that says "20%off" push that button, THEN add the Riva 10 to your cart! Then it should be $30. (unless they went up in the last week). Oh and the cone, i amusing another brand of the same PV, and with the cone on I actually get nore vapor production out of a normal 510 atty. I usually use a 510MEGA atty/cart, but I think the extra length causes a short in the battery, because I only get 3 hours battery instead of the 8. Good luck on your vaping journey!

It's the "Riva 510 lite bundle" @ $29.99! That's after clicking on the 20% off button. You can't go wrong with that.
I wasted soooo much money when I first got started by not researching. I ended up buying two 510mega kits, one for me and one for the wife @$60+ each. I wish I had just read a little bit.
Since then I bought a Joye ego clone called a t-Rex for the same thirty bucks, and have a tank atty and 5 cart a on the way from California (if they EVER get here) Liberty Flights has GREAT prices, but living on the east coast, and they ship from the west coast it's taking a little bit longer then I would have liked.

I am new to and trying to get my 5 posts as well. I quit analogs 1/1 of this year and don not believe I could have done it without vaping. I doubt I am getting much nicotine but find that the vape is a good surrogate. I spent some money settling in on some good products but am satisfied with my current equipment (EGO with 900 mA battery and mega cartridges). Still sampling liquids though. Endless choices. Are you using JC PG or VG based liquids? I did not like the PG too much but thats my personal preference I guess. Thx

I'm not new obviously, but you can't go wrong with the eGo/Riva rig to start out with. Try some 2.0 ohm atty's or carto's if you want it to hit harder. Don't go below 2.0 ohm though or you can kill your batteries. And when you're ordering throw a drip tip into your shopping cart. Even if you don't use it full time they're great for trying different juices when you get them. Besides they're only a couple of $$.
