Well...this didn't go well at all

Just got the new XL fluxomizer carts and the bottle of orange/pineapple nectar from gotvapes.com. Before I go any further I have no complaints thus far with the guys there. They ship quickly and it arrives when expected.

However....and I haven't searched the entire site yet; I popped a new cart out of the sealed package and filled it with some of the O/A juice and let it sit. I came back 2 minutes later, picked it up and it crumbled in my hand. I thought perhaps I damaged it but I didn't. It was disintegrating as I was looking at it. It also caused a big problem with my 2 syringes, the supplied 1 ml and another 3 ml syringe I have. It was affecting the rubber of the plunger seal. I managed to extract them.

I'm disappointed because that juice smelled SO damn good I really wanted to try it out. I already contacted Chris Olic via email so we'll proceed forward.

The other day, before I registered, I caught a 200+ page thread and some of the disintegration issues were mentioned but not an iron clad reason. I think the acidity level of the juice is way too high. I have Johnson Creek spiced apple cider and their Tennessee cured which both have citric acid as a natural preservative and i've run a few syringes of their product through these fluxomizers with no ill effects.

I am very curious to see what happens with this as it's affecting the syringes as well as the plastic of the carts themselves.

If anyone has some new info regarding this please share it here. I want to stick with gotvapes.com because I like the way they do business. I hope they can find the root cause of this and get us the juice we crave!

This must be happening a lot -- when I was on the clearomizer (china) site -- I noticed there was a little picture of a clearomizer with an X through it and it has a notification up about the whole disintegrating clearomizer issue. That was the first time I heard about it --
I am shocked it has not happened to me, because they are the only thing I use and I have used many different juices. I would have been shocked if that happened and I had no idea about the whole situation! I would think there was acid or something in the juice and someone was trying to kill me! (like in the old horror movies, where they hand the intended victim a glass of whiskey, and before he drinks it it spills on the table and it starts disintegrating.)
It is kind of curious though, that the main product they have (clearomizers) would melt when you use their juice!

Yeah well i checked some more and it seems an ester is being created with the juice and any of the essential oils used in manufacturing the juices. I know it can certainly be overcome bu I am really wondering if this is only happening in some of the cases or is it prevalent for all of them.

You'd think the folks that actually made this juice would have tested it in the fluxo-clearo-mizers before hand. We'll see I guess.

I posted this link in another thread. It's an easy fix using a syringe. Takes about five minutes at the most and the replacements doesn't crack.

Thanks jj, i'll look into that but I need to clear up the issue with the supplier first It also affected the syringes too, the rubber plungers mostly.

What I mean is use the tube from the syringe, cut the ends off to make a replacement tube to replace the one that cracked.

No...I knew that part I just don't want to cut this particular one because the syringe supplied by gotvapes is damaged so all I have is this one and it's not a BD syringe. I'm probably going to order them on Monday, the amazon.com link posted, and start cutting them this week. I have a nice razor slicer I can use that will go through these like a hot knife through butter. Really, if this is a viable, durable solution I see no reason to use anything else. And now I am puffing away on my 1.8 and it works so well.

Ive been vaping for about a month, and fell in love with my tank kit, I really didn't even know about these clearomizers, I tried cartomizer's and HATED them, I chain VAPE and it didn't seem to be able to keep up with me, and I singed everyone I used, and then when I refilled them it never seemed right, but these clearomizers look like a whole other kettle of fish, can y'all point me in a direction to find out more, or someone who carries them/has them in stock. I had been trying to figure out the whole MAP mod, now I understand that it is just a REALLY big clearomizers.
Thanks y'all, anything that will let me VAPE more without as much upkeep seems like a great thing to me, I currently go through 6-10 tank cartridges in a day, so far today irs worked out to be one an hour since I've been up, PLUS I've been vaping two 510Mega's filled with 36 all day too, for those times I really want to smoke. Thanks again y'all.

You are not the first person this has happened to. The design is too new, the plastic tubes too flimsy. Consider tkem a work in progress. This is rev 4 or 5 and the first rev with see-thru plastic tubes. Some people have good luck with them and others do not.

If I get any they will be the metal ones.

I've had better luck with the plastic ones over the metal, also being able to get to the insides for tweaking them and even filling them is a plus for me, I prefer the 2.8-3.0 best out of all of them. Still nothing compares to your Atty of choice with a drip tip in my opinion

Holy crap. When you say you chain vape you are NOT kidding I just puff away on the way to work (1 hour 15 minute ride) and while sitting in my office. I try to get away from them a bit because I actually grow tired of vaping too much. I think i've been using 3 of the small fluxomizers in a 12 hour day at best and they're not completely empty at all.


@dormouse: Right, I get that it's a work in progress. However, you'd think someone actually tests the juice IN the cart before shipping it right? My curiosity centers around why is it affecting some and not others? Is this due to manufacturing differences in the clear tubes or the juice? In all fairness when I am paying for something I don't like to be a guinea pig at all. I accept there will be some growing pains but this seems to be the most basic of problems.

It came in gotvapes' standard opaque plastic bottle, no damage at all. Oddly enough it jammed the rubber plungers in both the gv syringe and my 3 ml syringe as well.

mwa: These latest clear XL fluxomizers have the 2.8-3.0 coils and I too prefer the clear tubes because I can see whats left. Ideally i'd love to see a metal tube with an opaque strip down the side to see the fluid level or perhaps better plastic

I try to get away from them a bit because I actually grow tired of vaping too much. I think i've been using 3 of the small fluxomizers in a 12 hour day at best and they're not completely empty at all.


Well when I smoked, I smoked between 3-5 packs a day, and the more I think about it, there were far more days leaning to the 5.
Yesterday I saw someones sig. And it compared the amount of juice they vapid to the amount of cigs they smoked, I'm not using it as my sig, but I used it to figure out the numbers, and apparently I'm vaping 67% LESS nicotine then I smoked, that's not even getting into the whole smoke delivers nicotine better then VAPE. As I said I chain VAPE 24MG,but keep 36 around for those times that I'm craving, that's usually only once or twice a day. I used that same tool on my wife, and it said that she was vaping 37% MORE nicotine then she smoked, like people say, everyone is different. I have found myself completely empty a tank cartridge in 15 minutes before I love vaping, even at the amount I VAPE, I can breathe so much better! My health is like night and day.
But I do see a MAP mod in my future, some days I just get tired of the constant fiddling with the carts, don't get me wrong this tank system is WAY BETTER then the normal cart situation.
But ya I VAPE ALOT.

But hey, you are honest about it and switching to this method is certainly better for you. Maybe one day it will be a way out of cigs, in any form, entirely. For me that's the ultimate goal.

I could probably fabricate you a small tow behind cart or better yet, use a hydration backpack like the Camelback, a few high capacity batteries, and you could probably have one continuous vape from sunrise to sunset!

I'm heading up to the RiteAid tomorrow to see if they'll let me purchase some of the BD 3ml syringes though I doubt they will. I wonder if the 3ml oral syringes will work. Anyone try them?

I went to a dentist and bought 3 oral syringes, where the needle would be they have a curved piece of plastic instead that tapers down to a very small end. They work perfectly for refilling my tank carts. I went to every pharmacy in a 3 mile radius and the pharmacist and myself tried out everything they had, and nothing would fit the little hole that the atty creates, and about keeping up with me vaping out of the house, I've got it covered, I carry 3 fully charged ego batteries, one being a passthrough, that I have plugged in while I drive, plus my syringe, 2-5 bottles of juice (depending on my mood) each ego battery also has a tank atty, and a filled tank cart on them. Plus maybe 5-7 already filled replacement tank cartridges. Hell I only leave the house right now for the longest two or three hours. I'm just really paranoid about running out. I can walk into any store in my little town and buy a pack of smokes, I can't say the same for e-cig's, or juices, or attys. Most days you will also find me with one or two 510Mega's filled with high test as well, and maybe my two T-Rex's filled with high test as well. Right now I only have my wifes "cool" blend @36MG, I keep on meaning on buying another flavor, but haven't done it yet. I'm pretty pathetic when it comes to vaping, but I don't want to smoke ever again. I almost died in 2007 as a direct result from my smoking, and my lung functions from smoking. Right now within reach, in bed I am wearing one ego-t, have another one ready to use on my bedside table, and then a regular Joye 510, and a Mega 510 both 510's filled with high test. I'm pathetic, but a non smoker. Going on 31 days now! My wife is working on two weeks herself. This forum has been as instrumental to my success as the e-cig's have been, you have to give it away to keep it, and with that I'll quit rambling!

Thats amazing. I've worked with folks who have had hardcore nicotine addictions but your's is up there so really, good luck with that and I hope you can back down. You're a prime case of the benefits of vaping and even if it ends up costing you close to what you spent on analogs (don't see that it will) it's doing you good being off them. I'm watching my mother die from various forms of cancer, one perhaps caused by smoking, so I have more incentive now than ever to quit.

I hope it works out for you but if you think you're running out or you might be without it just remember how bad it was on analogs and consider yourself lucky now to be able to do this and that might just ease the anxiety somewhat.
