I started vaping serious just a few weeks ago. I was up to 3+ packs a day had cut wayyy down to about half a pack. I decided last night I'm done with analogs. I smoked 5 yesterday and figured being I really didn't like the taste it's time. I have done real good today I haven't had even one. I had that serious craving so I broke out the 24mg nic fluid and put it in the dripper which has made that craving almost go away. I know these stories are posted all the time but just about a week ago I was ready to give up on vaping and just go back to smoking due to equipment issues. Anyway you all here at ECF are a great support group. Thanks for always lending a screen :)

Dude, your posts so remind me of the problems I also encountered. You've done really, really well.

If the cravings just won't go away, you might need to look into WTA. It adds that little something that some vapers find missing when making the full switch.

I tried the higher nic, but it seemed the more hopped up I got, the more I'd want to smoke when I couldn't possibly vape anymore.

Big Congratulations...that is exactly what it took for me to quit 24 mg for a few weeks when that urge came, that ol' 24 would put beads of sweat on my forehead, but I certainly didn't WANT a smoke.
Best of luck to you, you got the right idea and it works miraculously....:thumbs:

gratz bro

my uncle was similar to you...but he smoked for...i would say 40 years? he randomly stopped one day...and said thats enough...literally hasn't smoked since...

it's all will power

but man 3 packs a day...thats an expensive habbit...you must be doing super quick hard draws or something...thats ALOT of cigs a day...

i'd prob up your nic level honestly...and work my way down every few months if you're still craving cigs even in the slightest...you need to remove the habit of analogs from your thought process first being the addicting part being nicotine once your nic cravings are controlled you can steadily lower it through vaping once in a while and eventually you'll be vaping 0-3mg like me ;)

Well done, you won't regret it. There is much talk about vaping being a possible gateway to smoking (mostly by people who have vested interests in seeing e-cigarettes heavily regulated or banned). The fact is, vaping is MUCH more pleasant than smoking. It has been almost 4 years since my last cigarette (after quitting a 30 year habit), and I can't imagine ever wanting a cigarette again.

Don't worry, and don't make it a bigger deal than it is. It should be straightforward now. Cigarettes are nasty, they make you smell, they are expensive, they kill 50% of users. You know the score.

I was a 40+ year 3 pad smoker. I started on cig-sized and cartos at 24mg. I think my cravings didn't really go away for over a year (and I'm craving now BTW after 3 1/2 years). I seem to remember my worse time was right around 2-3 months. That's when my sense of taste and smell started doing all sorts of weird things.

Seems to me that you're doing great...and you are ready to quit. You've got this.
