Welp, hope this gets answered here.

I prefer the "Shame/Ridicule idiots out" method of ensuring quality posting but the law of the land is what it is...

I picked up an njoy Pro for the hell of it after my girlfriend bought an electronic cigarette. Not bad, already got a real atomizer on the way along with juice and stuff. However, one thing's bothering me. She paid a STUPID amount of money for hers in a mall. Like $120 for a starter kit. This kit specifically. Looking at it, I'm pretty sure that's just an RN4081 that she got ripped off on. I could be wrong but gut instinct tells me she got ripped off. They gave her the "pack per cart" bull.... line, and I knew something was up when I started looking into them after trying hers and seeing here and a few other places call companies out on that.

So I figure I'd run it past this forum, see what I get. If she did get ripped as hard as I think she did... Well I'm not gonna tell her directly. She'll figure it out.

I can't tell for sure from the package, but that looks no different than the $25 kit that I just purchased from TastyVapor.com, but mine came with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers. Either way, I'd say she got ripped off, unfortunately. If she can get her money back, she could easily purchase a starter kit and some liquid for a fraction of that price.

Yeah, "mall" or mass marketed ecigs are brutal in price and generally far less in quality. Many of us have been there, done that as an introduction to this.

I believe the nJoy is a 4081, if i recall correctly.

Here is an outline I made as an intro for basic info on some models... will give you a better idea.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ular-models-comparisons-reviews-thoughts.html

You can get an EGO for $55 at LiteCigUSA, for example, a standard 510 for $35 maybe. Just a couple of examples for starter kits...

The best thing to do if you cannot return it is to buy liquid and re-fill your cartomizers. Can fill for maybe 20 cents and taste far better. I like the taste of the 4081, but just not powerful enough for people that smoke 1 pack plus a day, in my view.

Likely the best two sources for good tasting liquid are http://www.backwoodsbrew.net/index.php and

Yeah, the nJoy is a 4081. I ordered a real atty because srsly nJoy can suck it if they think I'm paying $20 for 5 cartomizers. I ordered a second battery, an atty, blanks, juice, etc already. I got the $20 711 job just to mess with it. But, playing paintball for like 14 years I did take note of the thread patterns on her atty and battery. I'll try putting the two together when she's not around and see if they take. If they do, well... We'll see about that refund.

+1, Most of us have been there, and still considered it worth it to quit smoking... The mall kiosks and 'advertised brands' like blu (my first) are expensive, but, for a reason, they have a lot of overhead and they're the ones out there actively advertising to the masses that such a product exists.
That said, I would never buy one again....
But thanks to the modders forum here I'll never need to buy any ecig batts again...

I have yet to receive my Riva. hopefully tomorrow. I have been using the 7-11 ones for a month or so now, but those are both nasty tasting, and last like 20 minutes, so they were a terrible way to first experience this. However, I did see the potential, so I did my research, and posted my first newbie thread here last week. With a TON of advice from people, I made my purchase at about $100 for a Riva, 15 carto's and a ton of different juices (they even gave me a sample!). My juices arrived today, and I hacked one of those 7-11 carts and washed it out and tried some juice, and it was smooth... I was impatient. Hopefully my Riva and cartos arrive tomorrow. From what I understand it's not just the juice that provides the experience, but the device and battery life as well. If this Riva (29.99 with the 20% off at Liberty Flights) is as good as what I've been told (i.e. equal to or close to an eGo) and lasts as long as it is supposed to, which hopefully will be more than an hour or two like the 7-11 jobs, then I will be a happy camper.

OH, my apologies, but yes, she was ripped off if that was just for that started kit. I haven't even received my first true starter kit, and I can already say that was a ripoff. Do some research here and ask questions like this and these fine people will do whatever they can to help you out. I owe them a lot already in just under a week!

See I get more life out of the cartos than the battery. The battery I have is HORRIFIC for the life it is. I sat through my Anatomy and Physiology Lab which was an hour long taking drags...okay so it was day one and probably overdid it. It was 8 AM and I didn't have red bull on me. One shorted on me so I did some mad science and extracted the juice to do the carto cap refill on an empty.

It sucks that the nJoy one from 711 only comes with a USB charger with a joke of a cord. Fortunately I had an extension cable so I can run it to my desk. I'm gonna keep with this for a bit till I can justify spending a decent amount on something more powerful.

Most e-cig's come with pretty short cords on the chargers. Before I switched over to the ego mainly, I bought most of my extra 4081 stuff from azsmokefree.com pretty good prices and quick shipping their prefilled carto's and juice aren't so hot but they're a good source for blank carto's and spare batteries.

It will be nice when the "7-11's" out there and tobacco shops start carrying models like the Joyetech Joye510, eGo, Inferno, Tornado (many others) and atty replacements for the normal acceptable prices, easily found on line. I noticed the atty replacement cost for that link you posted in the original post was $55! Now that is a rip off! :)
