Good afternoon all I really hope someone can assist me as I am new to vaping about 2 months. My boyfriend got me a one when I got sick and I have not smoked a real cig since. However the e-go battery he purchased broke when I dropped it two weeks later, my coworker gave me a Torpedo V2 variable watt battery. I have been using cartomizers first cheap ones, those were horrible so I went to the local store they suggested bottom coil cartomizers. Those are ok however it seems like I am buying new coils weekly. Then I broke the Tabacc BCC which I loved had to run out to the only store in my town open on a sunday and purchased from Overstock Ecigs two Iclear 16D rebuildable catomizer. Three days and one atomitizer is bad now I am on day 6 and the other is not working properly either. the atomitizer ready shows 2.2 and I have it set on 3.3 it also shows it is a 2.1 oms the one that the shop replaced that stoped after three days and they replaced it with a 1.5 ohms atomitizer. Is this a result of a bad battery? as the settings randomly change on the display. yesterday I could change the setting from P6.0 to 11.0 and now I can only change it from U3.3 to 5 have no idea why this happens as prior to purchasing the Iclears I could only change from U3.3 to 5. and I am unsure why this randonly changes or how it changes. I feel like I vap alot and may also just be to much of a vaper to use a cartomizers like I have and was thinking of purchasing a Protank 3 but I am really unsure if 1. battery is good and capatible 2. are tanks better for heavy vaping? any assistance is greatly appreaciated this is my first post to the new members forum I sure hope I am in the right area as the rules are strick on this site.

You may try posting this as a new thread in the New Members forum. Hope you get some help!

Why on earth would you give them another chance, especially since you have a great shop where you work? After the short answers on liquids, I wouldn't even have given them a sale.

If their selection was otherwise good and he likes the eJuices he bought, the convenience of having a store near home as well as one near his workplace might outweigh the bad employee.

To OP: I am not particularly confrontational either, and am not rolling in dough, but I would do the manager or owner the courtesy of calling or emailing them and describing the service you received, and why you are considering not returning to the store even though it is so conveniently located.

Three possible responses:
1. Mortified manager or owner, who will probably offer apologies and maybe a little goodie or coupon to try to win you back, in which case you can give them another try if you feel like bothering.
2. Defensive manager or owner, or employee answering emails and phones and pretending to be the manager or owner, who tries to make the bad service you received your fault somehow. Obviously you should never darken their doors again, and I'd be tempted to Yelp! review them poorly (or whatever site locals use to find out more about local businesses) and spread the word far and wide that they are to be avoided.
3. You get no response at all. Nada. Radio silence. The problem has just resolved itself. They clearly do not want your patronage if they can't be bothered to check their voice mail/inboxxen.

Good luck!

My local vape shop also sucks. The staff are terrible. out of 5 staff only one of them actually vapes. I stick to online purchases nowadays. I bulk order to get free delivery works out cheaper than the actual local shop.

Wow, I guess I didn't appreciate the advantage of being in Tulsa! Vapor Kings has several B&M shops here, and I frequent 2 of them. Excellent service and selection, personnel are fabulous. In fact, I bought both of my Provaris there, among other things. When I bought my first Provari, they sat down with me and gave me a little lesson. Since I started rebuilding, they have helped me figure out RBAs and have supplies when I need them. Juice selection is awesome. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about them.
Shops are popping up all over Tulsa, but I have not even been curious, because I'm so happy where I am going now.

One other thing... maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but I'd be hesitant to buy juices mixed in the back room of someplace so new and questionably competent. When I don't buy pre-bottled juice, I mix it myself, from ingredients whose purity I feel confident in.

Until you are out of the new members forum I would just start your own post. In the regular forum there is an area titled "Ask the veterans".
If you are starting out I suggest using a regular ego battery, generic or brand name. That way the voltage is constantly the same and you can get used to which tank/carto/clearo you like best. I have been vaping for six months and I am just now getting into vv batteries. There is so much to learn. Thats why I say start with a 3.7 volt kanger evod battery or similar generic. Get used to using that with boge cartomizers, a mini protank 2, CE4s, 510 dripping atomizer or something similar (boge cartos are easy to use and last a good amount of time). Your atomizers should not being going bad so quickly. I wonder if you are burning out the coils by using the wrong ohms for the voltage. There are charts online that show which ohms go with which volts.
General Safe Vaping Power | Voltage | Resistance | Ohm Chart
Check out this chart. I hope it can help you. I found alot of my info on this site by just reading others posts. Good luck!

In LA there are vape shops almost at every corner plaza these days. Thankfully, that makes them competitive and very helpful when you come in. If I hit a shop that doesn't seem interested in earning my business I can just walk across the street and give someone else my money.

Sorry to hear about your experience, sounds like online ordering is a good bet or just sticking to the original shop by your work. Yelp is also a good outlet for sending a message to a vape shop, good or bad.

The only advantages of a B&M shop over online ordering are F2F customer service (in the form of recommendations, how-to, etc.) and seeing what you are buying - which are important, especially if you new to a product or service. If you aren't getting these, then you are spending your gas and time (and likely extra money) for the same thing you would get picking online based on description. If you are feeling nice, take the time to let the owner know. If not, move on - spend your money where there is value.

Exactly! We have four shops in this little town. The first remains the best, and is often competitive with internet stores. I visited one other and it was just a no - go. I haven't seen a reason to look over the other two. In fact, I kind of suspect one of them has already folded.

Last week my sister and I ventured to Chapel Hill, NC and visited The Vapor Girl, come to find out, they have 3 shops/stores in CH, the one we stopped at looked like a corner of a strip mall so outside we weren't expecting much. After entering, Kelly (a very NICE salesperson) helped us out and put us on their sample bar which had; like, 60 flavors. She informed us that "everyone" that worked there vaped AND was integral in coming up with their "namebrand" flavors! She herself was the one that "invented" the flavor "Catnip"...sounds gross, but was really great (I ended up getting 30ml of that) They all sample and experiment with inventing new flavors, only bottling them when they think they have real winners!! I really like that. You could tell the staff was "committed" to their craft. Other employees came out and talked with us, and it was initially empty when we went in, but as we sampled, the place filled up with people.....all different kind of people. a couple had their own mods and were sampling, a woman was getting "parts" for her husband and didn't really know what she wanted. I listened as Kelly talked her through it, not trying to hard sell or anything, just helping.

I know they were slightly higher priced than you could get online....(their MVPs were $70) , but the juices were all, like $15.99ea., so that was competitive! The owners even came out and talked to my sis and I for 1/2 an hour, really nice people. They told us the other two stores were "esthetically" nicer than this one, but this one is where all the juices were made and they delivered orders to the other stores, so all in all, we DID stop in at the best shop. They are good people, with good prices and employees....I will definitely return!

My initial ego came from a gas station and it was amazing! Fast forward 2 weeks and I finally tracked down my first vape shop. I went in. This girl was working and offered to help. I started asking questions. She was really quite hateful to me until I started inquiring about the MVP2, then she became my best friend. I ended up talking myself out of it, then she hated me again and, clearly no longer wanted to "deal with me". I wasn't doing anything wrong! I was new! We all had questions and still do!

After going back a few times and having excellent service, I've come to realize when they get annoyed by your eagerness and curiosity, it's because they aren't as educated on vaping as what they'd like to think. When they "forget" you, avoid you, or are just flat out rude, it's because you're ruining their persona of being the "all knowing vape master"...and you are subconsciously calling them out on their BS. Feel better, and vape on!
