This is a true story that happened with my best friend during our trip to the Lehigh Valley mall in Pennsylvania.
It was a Wednesday evening, we were driving from our hometown of Washington, NJ to the mall in PA, with my 510 in hand and his brand new Joker PV in his. We drove a good distance until we finally saw the mall. Walking through the parking lot, we vaped until we got inside. We made our way through the department store into the main section of the mall. Our reason was a good one: to visit the Smoke Free kiosk, which were selling overpriced and outdated e cigs, mainly for profit. We searched the mall for the kiosk, vaping while people that passed by us, obviously thinking "ZOMG!"
We finally made our way to the kiosk. Hiding the 510 and Joker like 2 Jedi's hiding away their lightsabers, we approached the vendor. He greeted us kindly and showed us the e cigs he was selling. I cannot recall the models that the vendor was selling, but they looked like ordinary cigs to me. My best friend and I tried one...I kid you not, the vapor was low and the taste was pretty harsh, obviously the vendor had no idea what he was selling. After talking to vendor about the prices (he has receipts pricing from $100-320!), we decided to set this man straight. Showing him our e cigs, we told the vendor that he was selling outdated models, ripping people off with crazy prices. We were kind enough to offer him a quick vape from our e cigs, as well as a card from electronicstix.com to use for selling better models. HOWEVER, the vendor became VERY hostile towards us, accusing us of ruining business for him (as soon-to-be customers were looking at us and realizing the facade that was going on with the vendor). We had no choice but to leave, in fear that the vendor would *ahem* stick his novelty vaporizers down our trachea.
Despite our futile efforts to help a lost soul, we did manage to talk to a few people about e cigs, as well as freely vape in the mall without fear of being told not to like how it normally would be in NJ.
I like to thank you for giving your time to read this, and hope someday...those kiosk vendors would have a change of heart and stop selling inferior models MAINLY for profit.
