I got myself a little cig-a-like set in 2011, just to use in places I couldn't smoke, like hotel rooms. I never really considered trying to quit at that time, it temporarily cut my cravings, but I still waited impatiently for the next opportunity to light up. In 2012 I started finding more info about vaping online, found ECF, and ordered a new, better starter set. Thank you ECF!!

I smoked my last cigarette on May 15, 2012, at 11:30am.

15 months for me and going stronger than ever, especially with all the great tanks and powerful mods available. The beginning was a little challenging with the finicky nature of my leaky protanks, but now I hardly ever have leaks or issues with my better equipment. It really is a great time for vapers! Don't want to bore anyone with "My" Story since so many have already heard it before, so I'll keep it short and sweet . . .

Started "Vaping" a couple of months before joining ECF, so I guess Ya' can say I've been at this for approximately a little over 4 years. However, I am not a "Full-time" vaper yet and am still a "Dual-User" given that I have yet to find anything to totally satisfy "My" addiction and become an ADV Flavor for "Me". AND - Before anyone says anything - YES - I am still looking for a "True Menthol Tobacco" that will come close to what a "Kool" cigarette tasted like (NO MInt/Candy/Overly Sweet tasting "Stuff" - "Menthol" with a cool refreshing aftertaste of 'Menthol" in an "E-Liquid" that I do not have to put "Menthol Crystal E-Liquid" & "Kolada" additives in all the time to get close to what I want) . . . So - If I was lucky enough to be randomly selected, I would want to try the "Cool Green E-Liquid" @24mg . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I visited my first vape shop in Oct. 2014. Before that I got some cig a likes at Walmart and I was chewing the nicotine gum for 4 years. The gum started to make me sick so when I saw a vape shop open in the area - off I went and they hooked me up with an evod....I thought I died and went to heaven. I didn't know about ECF until Feb. 2015 - Joined up and have learned so much and came a long way - I'm enjoying my shinys. Thank you for the contest!

I started vaping Dec 15th 2014, I was off cigs before Christmas. I smoked around 2 pks/day for around 25 years and never even tried quitting before. I was amazed how easy the transition from cigs to vaping was. The local vape shop was very helpful and I ended up running into an old friend there I hadn't seen in 20 years. We talked and vaped for a couple hours, I figured that was a good sign to begin my vaping journey.

If you count the six weeks or so I was on a VUSE cig-a-like from Big Tobacco (I don't), then I guess it's about eleven months now, since sometime around mid-late October of last year. If you count, like I do, when I bought my first vape pen that uses e-juice, then it's almost exactly 9 and a half months, since December 6th. If you count since the last time I had a cigarette, that was April 18th (late-night, technically early AM on the19th) of this year, so just over five months now.

I picked up an ego starter kit on my daughter's birthday: March 14, 2014. Using smoker's logic, I didn't quit smoking until I had finished the last carton that I had... it took me about four weeks (instead of the usual one) and the cigs tasted so bad by the time I had done so, I just chose not to buy any more. It also helped that my son, when I was tucking him into bed, remarked that I smelled like chocolate chip cookies instead of smoke!
