Just saw this today in CSM.

Massachusetts town may be first to ban tobacco - CSMonitor.com

Town health agent Elizabeth Swedberg said a ban seemed like a sensible solution to a vexing problem.

"The tobacco companies are really promoting products to hook young people," she said, pointing to 69-cent bubblegum-flavored cigars, electronic cigarettes and a new form of dissolvable smokeless tobacco that resembles Tic Tac candies. "The board was getting frustrated trying to keep up with this."

It appears they're having an open meeting this Wednesday at the local elementary school's cafeteria.

The ANTZ are reaching too far . . . so far that citizens are actually becoming engaged and outraged.

For those who use twitter, this reporter tweeted about the meeting: https://twitter.com/JulieLoncich

Take a moment to read that coverage (and some of the videos she posted). You know a local Board of Health has gone waaaaaaaaaay too far when they have to leave with a police escort.

Upshot is that the vote is scheduled for December 1, but we shall see.

I would have something very sarcastically funny to post, but I could end up in trouble if I said what I have in mind about this. I would rather just let idiots bang their heads into the wall until they get a bad nose bleed and start understanding basic human behavior the hard way or end up alone in a broken ghost town or a closed community no one wants to have anything dealings to do with.
Yep, that's how I censor myself and still say what I have to say.

Here's what the ANTZ spin will most likely be: "These nicotine junkies are so irrational they'll be driven to violence if you threaten to take their fix away."
