Wet battery tops - normal?

I've looked around some on this question; and, the next one I'm going to ask; but, if it's there, I'm missing it.

Is it normal to need to carry q-tips in my kit, to swab the top of the batteries every once in a while, especially when I'm chain vaping. It's not a lot; but, it's enough to usually not be able to use the q-tip more than once. Also, I have to make sure to dry it really well right before I charge my batteries. It seems to do this on all 4 of my batteries; and, regardless of whether I'm using my CE5s, my vivi nova, or my DCT. (It did it with my v-core 2.0's, too; but, I'd chalked that up to them being cracked like egg-shells...) My normal vape mix is 1/2 clove and 1/2 orange/pineapple; sometimes with a little peach mixed in. (I'm switching to VVV polyprop tanks next week, which MIGHT stop it.)

If it's not normal, will it hurt the batteries despite the fact that I make sure they're dried well before charging?

Yep, it's normal. Less so with tank systems, very much so with atomizers and cartomizers. At least with my mini novas it seems to be condensation like Ocelot mentioned. Atomizers and cartomizers leaked like crazy when I was using them. Everyone should make sure they clean their connections before every charge when using stock batteries. I moved to USB charging because I would tend to be an airhead and forget... lost a couple of bats and at least one charger to damp/sticky connections.

Mine does too; but, since that was obviously just condensation, I hadn't worried too much about that. LOL, besides, it's kind of extra tasty. I REALLY like my flavor. ;) I've even been known to lick off any stray droplets when I top off. (Probably NOT something I'd recommend doing to anyone who was a 40+ year nicotine junky...) What had concerned me was that the condensation on the battery top looked more like juice than condensation - more of an amber color, leaving a definite scent on the q-tips. (I probably should've mentioned that in my original post; but, it hadn't occurred to me that it might just be condensation.)

I meant juice condensation from the bottom of whatever is holding the liquid. It is mostly likely juice, mine is.

Hi, I'm new to the site, yet have been vaping for well over a year now. Started out with small Boge batteries and cartos; now graduated to VV APVs (eVic) and mechanical mods (Smok telescope w/ Kick, and the KTS GGTS that should be arriving by post next week.)

I have condensation on the top pin after some chain vaping. Not too concerned about it. The only time I have actual juice leaking is from the carto-tanks when the gurgling starts and it starts to seep down the centre of the carto. Its a mess to clean up, and I loose a good amount of juice in the process. I used to think I was drawing too tightly and sucking up too much juice, yet it still happens on short, even draws. Anyone know how to circumvent this? Thanks for your help.
