Hello all - just found this forum and could use some advice.

I've had my 510 for about 4 weeks now and I'm so frustrated. I have no luck so far I either end up burning my atomizer or flooding it trying to keep it wet. Instead of getting better at this I think I've gotten worse.

I did some reading on here today and see that alot of people are talking about a two piece e-cig that uses a cartridge with an atomizer already attached. Can anyone give me more information about this model. I hate the whole atomizer thing. Will this be different?

I've heard some very good things about the Vapor King from Vapor4life. I don't know personally, I'm a 510'er myself; I've had some trouble such as yours but have since sorted them all out. I've found that all atomizers are NOT the same. I ordered some new atomizers and found the experience of vaping 100 percent better! It had nothing to do with the suppliers either; just some attys are lemons and my first ones were lemons!! Did you check out the post "Everything you wanted to know about the 510" or something like that in the model specific forum? It may help. But if you do decide to check out the vaporking, let me know...I've been concidering it.

Vaporking (a branded KR808D-1) is a very nice two-piece system. I just bought this system for my wife. It is available from some other vendors as well. The cartomizers ARE refillable. There are videos available that demonstrate how.

Whatever you do, avoid the Smoke-51 system. It's a two-piece system, but the batteries are marginal at best, and the cartomizers don't seem to take kindly to refilling. Its also quite expensive compared to what's out there.

Personally, I like the 510 platform. I've been having great luck using the PTB cartridges from Cignot. I don't mind the maintenance, and have been using the same two atomizers in rotation for over a month now.

But my wife wanted something simpler, hence the Vaporking. I must admit I'm enjoying it as well, and am hitting off the usb passthru as I'm typing right now.

The KR808D-1 is available from Vapor4life and Nhaler, maybe other vendors as well. Both of these vendors come highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I have had good experiences with the Red Dragon and Green Smoke. Green Smoke is considerably more expensive for some reason......I have yet to figure out why since the two models are interchangeable.

Your mom said not to say...
Yep they are called cartomizers and I would go with a KR808D-1 or a GreenCig. Check out the GreenCig cartridge autopsy on this forum and you can see the difference in the cart technology compared to other carts and the 3 piece units. It cost a little more but you get what you pay for. After trying the m401, the 510, a Magnum mod for the 510 at 6v, a KR808D-1 and finally a GreenCig. I could have saved myself a bit of time and money and went with the either the KR808D-1 or GreenCig first. Once you see the technology difference it's quite clear which model is clearly superior. The difference in cart technology is much like the difference between the Flintstones car and a modern car.

Your experience with a two piece will be much different from the 510. The Carts last a lot longer, they are easier to fill, they have a O-ring to protect against a shot of juice in the mouth and leakage, among other things. The cartomizers are a little more expensive up front but worth it in the long run. I wish I had gotten a cartomizer first but I wasn't the first to feel that way nor will I be the last. I get my supplies from Nhaler.com Drew takes care of his customers like nobody else in my book. Do yourself a favor and get at the very least a KR808D-1, I would strongly urge you to check out that Greencig Cart Autopsy that is here on the site before you order so you can see what I mean about the tech being so much farther advanced.

There are a few retailers who sell the 2 piece model....Vapor Kings/Vapor4Life/Nhaler...and the dude who sells the Nebula model, whos name slips me....

Anyhow, I digress, I've only dealt with Nhaler and Vapor4Life before, however based on what I've read in the subforums, all of these folks have good reputations, and won't rip you off.

Have fun with it. We do!

Hi SanDee welcome to the wonderful world of vaping!
One of the best things about a 2 piece is you dont have to worry about carrting the atty's around with you incase 1 fails or you flood it. If you flood a cart.. its going to leak into your mouth.. I have not burnt one out so far by over dripping.
I usually will drip a few drop of juice the night before depending on flavor I want.. let it sit overnight then wake up and vape away. I use a passthrough (it hooks up to your computer) most of the time and this will give you a lot of vapor as run on more volts than your battery can supplier. I also have a car adapter for it. I pick a juice for the day so my carts don't burn and just drip when I notice vapor or flavor getting less.

The Kr808 pack a punch on throat hit and flavor.. too strong for me so I got myself Cgreen Cig carts.. they screw onto the Kr808 in the same manner and 1 thing I love is you can adjust your draw on them.. if its too light screw tighter and too hard unscrew a bit. They have at least 3x the amount of vapor and a much much smoother vape compared to the KR808 carts. But you need to learn what you like.. aside from the atty issue what else about the 3 piece is bothering you? Vapor production? Throat hit?
hope this helps you some! Lori B
