What about real vanilla extract?

Have any of you more experienced DIYers ever tried real vanilla extract or the Mexican Molina brand vanilla with vanillin as a flavor?

Also check out the Vanilla entry on wikipedia, it's a complex flavor and vanillin is just the main part of it. There are a lot of vanilla flavorings out there with different proportions of some of the chemicals other than vanillin in real vanilla.
