First off, the Chuck won't arrive for about a month so you have plenty of time to order everything.

Step 1: decide whether you are buying a big Chuck or a Little Chuck.

Step 2: decide what connector you want. As you vape a 510 right now pick that (instead of the 801 or 901). Jeff sells the connectors that will let you use the others or a cartomizer with a 510 connector. It's only an extra $5 so order it too. That way you can try everything. (There is some discussion about whether the 510 to 801 connector causes shorts. You might want to read about that, too.)

Step 3: Go to the thagbuilt site and order your Chuck and send Jeff an e-mail with the info.

While you are waiting, you will need to buy batteries and a charger. There is a sticky at the top of this forum about the batteries for each size Chuck so knowing which one you are buying makes a difference.

Buying a multimeter so you can make sure your batteries and charger are working correctly has been highly recommended. (Mine arrived today so I haven't tried it yet.)

Well I tried all the links in the sticky and none of them worked. I'm buying a big chuck so I can have my options. Also where can I buy a multimeter?? Also can u post the link about the 510 causing shorts? Thank u very much for responding, I was going crazy trying to figure this out since I'm pretty new to vaping :)

But don't u get both pretty much if u buy the big one?? I mean the only difference is the voltage an battery life correct?

Yup, sure do :) and, if you order it as a 510, then get the adapter set ($5.00 more) you'll have it all ...... thing is, once you get one ... then you get the "fever" .. need more .. need another .... want more ... yada yada :p

I don''t know where the link about shorts is. I'm getting an 801 connector so I don't need it. Maybe someone else can help. Or you can use the search function.

MadVapes.com carries all the batteries.
dealextreme.com does too. They're in China so shipping is very slow.

Read the recent thread "My Chuck Blew Up Literally" to see why I'm only buying AW batteries from lighthound.com

This is a popular, basic multimeter
Richie PMed me today to say that Sears has a sale on.
This is the one I bought (although it doesn't have the yellow bumpers -- Amazon has an old picture.

It's here.
While this is true. I have found some 801s that short when connected to the adapters (especially the newer adapters)*. If the 801 is your primary atty, you might just want to go ahead and get the 801 chuck. Then you can still get the adapters to go from 801 to 510 or 801 to 901/(808) later**. That way you don't have to worry about shorting issues for you main attys.

* Some of the newer 510 to 801 adapters have a thicker outside ring that touches(shorts) the center pin of the atty :(

** Jeff does not sell adapters to go from 801 to other models. You will have to get them elsewhere (heaven gifts carries them).

All-Battery.com is in California. Coupon code "coupon15" gives 15% off order and code"tenergydeals" gives free shipping as long as the order is $25. Just so you know. I am starting to feel like a promoter for them, but you can save like $12 on a $37 dollar order...making it $25. That is a 33% discount= the best deal I have found.
thank u so much!!!!!!
