what am i doing wrong in dripping?

so i am kinda of new to this refilling for dripping, but i decided to break out a cool cart blank and give it a try... i only put about 5-6 drops in, just to see how this would work for me.. it was amazing, the flavour was right on - excellent all around - i was a happy girl... so this morning i decided to top it off and after a couple of vapes, it started to have this funny aftertaste, so i topped it off again, 5-6 drops and vaped.. well now it's starting to taste like its burnt... anyone have any clues in what i am doing wrong, if anything... i'm just not sure why this is happening....

Offhand I would speculate that you let the cart filler get dry, so it started to burn. Those carts can hold about 1ml of juice, so 5-6 drops is nowhere near enough - ~30 drops is more in the ballpark of what you should be adding to a blank cart.

Yeah, I accidentally vaped an empty blank cart and now it is unusable.

thanks guys- so this is probably my bad. so once a cart is burned there is no way i can save it - like giving it a good cleaning job? it's probably a goner... live and learn...

30 drops is more in the ballpark of what you should be adding to a blank cart.

Yep. I get 35 drops in a brand new cool cart and about 25 to 30 for each refill (less as they get older).

I burned a couple of premium cartos when I first started and nothing would bring it back to life. That's why I use the cool carts and constantly keep them wet.

The cartomizers are designed to be disposable....so if you burn one up, yes, its not usable (unless you like the taste...lol...I sure don't).

vaping has a bit of a learning curve, so these experiences will be a thing of the past soon.

no born, i really do not relish the flavour of a burnt cart. it makes me want to gag.. YUC!! but if someone does like this flavour i have one here for them...i'll even pay for the shipping... ha...

I believe the OP is speaking of filling a cart by dripping from the bottle. Not to be confused with direct dripping onto an atty

yes toad, but it takes many more than 5-6 drops to fill a carto, I have dripped on my 510 atty, that's a different story.

terrie - sorry for the confusion, but yes i am dripping into a carto... so today i did actually filled it with quite a few extra drops and it worked great.. i just wanted to be very careful since i only have a auto batt.. but on the goodside i just ordered a manual batt to see how it will work or help me in this new adventure of refilling.. thanks krazy for the video, i'll have to give it try and see if that wil be the better way of doing it for me... thanks for all your help...

I understand you not wanting to accidentally "kill" your auto batt. Just fill er up, (your carto) then just make sure your battery end isnt too wet with juice. It will be fine.
