I hesitate to give advice here, because I don't know nuffin' bout nuffin'. This works for me. YMMV. Standard disclaimers. Not a recommendation. Just sayin'. I don't wash, but I will blow about 4 drops of vodka through a deteriorating carrot. Not a burned one, just one that is starting to reduce in performance. It extends the life of mine before I have to toss, and they are vapable immediately with no drying time.

Either that, or I just like to vape vodka.

Vodka is a whole nother ballgame....bacteria cannot grow there and it evaporates quickly.

Natalia...thank you......I don't mind washing if I can dry them in the oven....just wasn't sure of these as I know others have had issues with the oven with other cartos (not sure whose or the model...could be the cheapo hard cap 510's). Good to know someone has done it with the V4L's...

You're welcome, and like others I sometimes use vodka/EverClear for a quickie cleaning too Good stuff in more ways than one...LOL

Is the vodka method a replacement for boiling? Is it a rinsing method?

I do a modified method of this video. But for light colored juices, that will rinse out under tap water, I use the vodka for a quick rinse.
So, I only use the vodka for rinsing. Hope this helps
