I was told to put 10-15 drops of e-liquid in the filter part and when I do so it leaks down were the atomizer conects to the battery and I get the liquid in my mouth I have the 510 .
What am I doing wrong?

You're probably over-filling the cart. They are very small on a 510. Blow it out and use less. Good luck!
If your cart filler looks 'mushy' but not 'pooled' then it should be ok and not leak. If its pooled, lay a sheet of paper towel across it to soak up any excess. Don't press the parper towel, just lay it lightly across the top of the cart filler. It should absorb any 'extra' liquid.
You can also stick a toothpick, or a bent paperclip down the side of the cart + filler in it, to let out any trapped air and allow the juice to go down further into the cart. Then add more drops as necessary.

Ok i just took a flashlight and looked into the cart I dont see any filler all I see is something way down at the tip and the rest is a empty cavity ?
wait I just opened a new cart and it has filler I guess the ones that come with the 510 dont have any filler ? because both of mine were the same no filler .
Did you remove the "dummy" cart that protects the atty? All new atomizers have a dummy cart on it to protect it during storage/shipping. You need to replace it with a cart that has fiberfill in it.

I got a set of 510 batteries, and they have holes on the connection.. Man I shall have to be careful when I drip
Usually a kit comes with 5 pre-filled carts. You only need one and a bottle of juice. Then you cam refill the cart serveral times . When the fiberfill starts gunking up, take out the fiberfill rinse in water then dry and it is ready to be used again. The plastic cart can last forever, but mine get chewed up and I replace it...

I run 510 attys & go thru approx. 1 cart about every 2 months-- I replace the cartridge filler material usually once a month.What helps is a good cartridge mod-- lots to choose from.
On another point, e-liquid viscosity can vary-- I prefer blends with PG/VG... its usually a thicker liquid, tons of vapor & it holds better in most cart mods. IMHO, YMMV.
Here's a good link where filler materials was tested (Carts filler materials and tests). Read it over and choose one or more for your carts. I chose the Blue Foam from StrictlyEjuce and like it. I usually order a couple of packs when I order E-juice.
Another 'tip' - slice a bit off the regular carts - the bit that sits on the atty end - (NOT THE CARTOS) with scissors or knife if you find they are melting during heavy vaping sesions.
Oh and wash the mouthpiece carts every now n again (remove filler obviously) to keep them clean. I use alcohol for germ killing properties then hot soapy water, rinse and allow to dry.

I tried tea bags and cutting the tip off my silicone cap (Z.F.M. mod) and although they work great for many, I seemed to have issues with both. I've been using Highping's simple cart for over 2 months now and it works great and is so inexpensive (a bag of polyfill is less than 3 bux and will last forever). Hi All! I'm new to the forum and found this question to be interesting. I'm still a little baffled about refilling but took the first step and bought Elumas yesterday. Gotta start somewhere, right?
Looking forward to the answers here about refilling a 510, because if the Elumas go well, I'll try a 510 next.
