Get a refund and get you a KGO 1100 mah - just kidding - that is what I got abt a month back - so far so good. I too had a minor issue while using a CE4 - kept blinking and turning off - that was bc of a bad connection with the CE4. I think another member already asked you if the carto/clearo or what ever you are using is making a good connection.....

Problem found. I found it late last night searching all through the net. I need to hit my button 5 times. In the instructions is says
"Manual version push the button to activate the device, the white led will light up indicating activation. Automatic version. Simply draw on the mouthpiece". No where does it every say push the button 5 times. The reseller still has not returned my call. If they do not return my call I will not be buying anything from them again. But the day is still young. So I will wait to see if they do. SO far 16 hours with out a cig :) I like the device now that it is working. I wish though I had ordered the 24 mg instead of the 18.

well I'll be darned! When you said it would work for a minute or so, I didn't think about the 5 button! Hello?! lol. Yes, it is a pretty important safety feature. Before putting it away in your pocket, or (if a lady uses one) handbag, be sure to depress the button 5 times quickly to turn it off, an 5 times quickly to turn it on. It saves the button from being accidentally depressed thus causing burnout or even in some cases burning/fire. Otherwise when its on, just depress button for the length of the inhale. All the best

What is the mah rating of the batteries? Can you give us a link to where you got them from?
Most batteries range from 2-4 hours, depending on the mah rating, and they usually come about half charged. If a battery is completely dead (below 2.2v I believe the number is) then it will never work again so they have to come partially charged. I suspect your charger is junk or you're doing it wrong. If charging them for 3-4 hours doesn't change anything send them back like yesterday. Get on the horn and be nice about it. Email takes a lot longer. In the meantime I'd consider ordering from somewhere else, and especially from a registered supplier (there's a link on the top of the page to a list of them).

He's got a handle on it now. You're late to the thread. What do they do to discipline a slow Ninja? Really- you're the 29th post, a Real ninja would've pounced on this much earlier. You're getting old?

I honestly can't believe none of us asked him that... We all forgot how to initially work our pvs... Good job in solving that problem yourself!

Well, of course, it wasn't his fault, and being new and not knowing how to describe what was going on, we were led down a dark, twisted demon filled alley.

At least, that's how it felt to me. Sometimes I have very vivid nightmares after coming to help on this forum. But I keep coming back because nothings really on TV anymore.

Ego went to the 5 click off and 5 click on to keep the battery from firing in a pocket or a handbag for safety reasons. Often the button will depress from pressure in a pocket and fire.

I totally understand that - my KGO has the same feature - but if it is turned off - it is off - wont let me vape at all unless I click it 5 times and turn it on...........what is confusing to me is if the Ego was off - why was it firing a few times to allow the op to vape a bit?

You avatar pic is driving me nuts - I am not trying to offend you - but to me it looks like a kitty taking a nap in a well endowed lady's blouse. Is that what it is?

let's see, The battery in some of our cigs are so called LiPo or Li-Ion. Lipo is a development from Li-Ion and LiPo's are a bit cheaper to manufacture. LiPo are usually made in 1 cells containing 4.2 V fully charged. Nom. voltage is usually 3.7volts and normal "on delivery" power are somewhat around 50% of full charge. The self un-charging rate is very low on this kind of batteries and they lack the old memory effect that NiMh used to have but you often has a computer device inside to control the discharge and the charging process. This is eating some of your power even when it's not in use. even if you have en eGo since it's watching for your 5 pushes on the button... It's not much it eats so it isn't much of a problem. The charging process is special to this kind of battery and that's why it's not recommended to use anything else than the charger provided by the dealer. If you know how it works you can diy the charging process but as everyone knows whom is handling this kind of batteries on a daily basis they can be dangerous if handled the wrong way. They can explode if you are totally wrong on the charging or creating a direct shortcurcuit and they can also start to fire if handled the wrong way. When discharging (vaping, heating the coil) the voltage may NOT be allowed to drop below 2.5 V per cell (normal cutoff in our e-cigs is around 3 volts) or else the battery can obtain permanent damage.

Since our batteries are cheap I think that the charging rate is with a maximum of 0.5 - 1C witch means that it takes between some hours to an hour to fully charge the battery but this is different from vendor to vendor all depending on what battery they choose to use so this can vary a lot.

I would suggest that you check your battery so you don't have any metal or any other stuff that can disturb the charging. If you find something that is not supposed to be there, use a wooden toothpick or something non electric conducting to cleanse it. If that doesn't help, Use the guarantee to provide a new battery that is safe to use and charge. It could also be your charger but that will show up on a spare battery as well with the same symptoms. With this kind of batteries it's better to be safe than sorry.

Some Rivas use 4 pcs 1.2V in series making a 4.8 - 5 volt battery witch is the kind of batteries that we are used to and refers to as normal chargeable ones. 1.5 volts goes for those not rechargeable. eGo normally is a LiPo 1 cell for 650/900 or 1100 mah

I'm not trying to be a wise-guy here but I have a friend who burnt down his house by charging a Lipo the wrong way so I know what can happen and I don't wanna see it happens to a fellow ECF member. Hope you understand my concern the right way...
