I think I have it figured out by the name, but how do they work? Sorry if this has been covered, I searched the forum but coudn't find any specific threads.

Two main uses. With atomizers where you drip onto the atomizer bridge through the hole in the drip tip. That way you don't have to remove the cartridge each time you drip.

The other use is with cartomizers - people want a 'tip' other than the round tip that comes with the cartomizer, so you pop off the end piece and most remove the silicone ring inside and insert the drip tip. You can also fill using it but with cartomizers you'll want to do that on an angle. The center roll of the cartomizer filler should not be filled because it can cause flooding so you drip through the drip tip on an angle so your hitting the side of the carto and it then runs into the filler. Some will just use the drip tip as a mouth piece and refill the carto by other methods.
