Hey guys, I think I'm ready to step up to the big boys. I was wondering if you e-cig connoisseurs could do me a big favor and list the higher voltage PV units that you guys know of.

I am looking for the 5v-6v units.
I Think the Prodigy is one but I could be wrong. Your help is much appreciated.

If you guys have any recommendations that would be awesome too- Is the Bullet a 5v PV?

THANKS!!! Happy vaping!

Thanks for the ;ink- there were some I know about, and some I didn't...

I know there are more high volt options out there, like stated above, the bullet (what voltage is it?) prodigy?- I know there are others...

So far I like the looks of the ApapteveR- anyone have experience with it? how does it compare to the other 5v-6v PVs?

I think I would also like to narrow my High Volt PVs to ones that I can get adapters for- I have 510s and 801 attys.

The Hard ... PVs look awesome too- but I don't have any 901 attys and and would like the option to use other if I wanted.

I want to stay around $100- but absolutely under $150- Thanks for the help- I know there are other models- help a brotha out! Thanks!

Where else can I get a GG- the site in the UK doesn't have it listed anymore

Mechanical Devices Capable of High-Voltage vaping (no wires, no solder)

  • Super-T (supertmanufacturing.com)

Electrical Devices Capbable of High Voltage Vaping (wire, solder and/or electrical switches)

  • AdapteveR (adaptever.com)
  • Copper (atmosusa.biz)
  • Prodigy (puresmoker.com)
  • Silver Bullet (altsmoke.com)
  • GLV (greatlakesvapor.com)
  • Zi Moshi (hardassvaporshop.com)

I may have missed one or two in the above list, but any of these devices can be purchased for under $150 (some as complete kits including batteries). Most of these devices can be used with a variety of atomizer types.

My preference is a mechanical device. Regardless of whether you choose a mechanical or electrical PV, they should all perform similarly with the same power source and atomizer. Form factor, desgin, and safety features would be the important criteria for your consideration.

Here's a list with the volts beside each. And smart idea making the switch to a better device. When the ban takes effect, at least you will not have to worry about the batteries:

The Big Nine in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver (3.7v): ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Electronic Cigarette Kit
Prodigy (5v): PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG (6v): The GG - The Immortal e-cigarette
JantyStick (3.7v): Janty USA - HOME
LV/ZiMoshi (3.7 or 6v): Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T (3.7v or 6V): Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.
AdapteverR (6v): Home - AdapteveR Home of the ORIGINAL USA built PV
Silver Bullet (3.7v): AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizer Silver Bullet - Kit - Starter Kits
VP1/VP2 (3.7v): VaprLife

There is also the new GLV from Great Lakes Vapor but I'm not sure if it is ready for sale, yet.

I too am looking at buying/making a HV vapper.
Question though do these shorten the life of the atty?
I know I've read on the forums about voltage sweet spots and maybe heavy duty atomisers (that are not too good on standard batteries), but I can't think where - my head swims sometimes with all the excellent information available here.

As long as you keep your atomizer coil wet and if you use a cart ALWAYS have it moist, your atomizers should be fine. I will say that the larger 801 atomizer probably holds up better than the 901 or 510, etc with the higher voltage.

I would also suggest periodic cleaning of the atty to get the gunk off the coil.

Thanks for the input guys- After doing some searching it seems like most of these units are high voltage capable, but you have to buy an adapter kit.

As far as liguid goes for the HV rigs- do you need to buy different liquid? I have a bunch of old formula JC juice- I assume that JC juice would work right?

I have some research to do!

HV mods or ecigs will burn the juice faster and you will get more of a true flavor from the Ecig.
Drew at Nhaler.com has come out with an HV juice that is USA made and specifically designed to burn better (vapor, flavor, throat hit and nic)in these mods!
I do NOT have a mod yet, Drew is due to release his ANY day now so I am holding out for that one BUT I do use this HV juice in my 510 and also my KR808 with AMAZING results...I drip on top of all my other ejuice now!

Will the vp2 last all day for a fairly heavy vaporer ???

That depends on your definition of 'fairly heavy'. Battery life, even amongst the mods like the VP2 vary depending on usage patterns. No one here can accurately say if it would last all day for you. But it would be no big deal for you to carry an extra battery around as you are going to have to do that with the juice anyway...
