I have a vivi nova and I can last almost a month without cleaning my head, without any noticeable bad taste or anything. I just keep it always well wicked by constantly swirling the juice as I vape.

So what are the signs of an atomizer needing cleaning? Loss of flavor? It's probably hard to notice any perceptible deteriation in vaping performance over such a long time (for me). Or can you actually see the gunk?

Low vaper production, taste muted, and I looked for the wicks getting dark where they enter the coil chamber.

Plus, take the little silicon nipple of the end of the coil head and look at the coil. If all you see is a wad of blackness, dry burn it until it's looking like a coil again. Just a few short burns, too long a burn and it'll probably pop the coil. As soon as it's not producing an acrid smoke, it's either clean or nearly clean.

Just change the head out once a week

Why not just Wait until it Needs it.

Cheaper that Way.

You can also rinse the entire tank under a tap to dislodge some of the crap on it. A month is not exceptional for these at all. When it tastes like vaping burning paper, and you'll know all about it - then change the head!

It's a very reliable and cheap way to vape.

This is what I do.

I Flush the Coil/Wick with HOT Tap Water Every Time I refill.

No Need to Completely Dry it. Just Shake/Blow as Much Water out as Possible and Refill.

greatly Extends the Time between Needing to Dry Burn or Replace the Coil/Wick.
