I've noticed on both my Reo Grand (at the 6 volt setting) and on my Buzz Pro's higher settings that most of my juice flavors greatly degrade and even become gross. Light, fruity flavors or delicate floral flavors (like the ones I bought from Decadent Vapors) really taste best at about 3.7 volts (for me). I'm not a tobacco flavor smoker and I'm not a big fan of chocolates, coffees or cake flavors. Any ideas on some fruit flavors that would taste good at higher voltages? I also like mixes... like peach and sweet cream, orange creams, etc. Any help would be appreciated.... I just can't find the perfect higher voltage vape!

Thanks:) I actually haven't tried anything vanilla yet.... I'll give it a try. I mix most of my own but it sounds like a pretty straight-forward combo. And I actually HAVE vanilla, custard and some sweet cream concentrates. My friend vapes at high voltages and she vapes Voodoo.. I ordered some today. I have to vape my favorite flavors on my old Riva at 3.7 to get the best flavor or my Reo using a 3.7 battery. Once I get to higher temps they just don't taste right anymore. Has anyone else experienced this?

I normally do a 50/50 spli when I mix or a 70 (pg)/30 (vg)..... but when I bought pre-mixed I usually order PG unless they offer the combo option. I got pre-mixed Cravelope and Hype today (both PG) from Alien Visions and Hype does okay at higher voltages.. Cravelope not so much. I'm waiting for the flavor Voodoo... it got good reviews from a high voltage vaper I know.:) I appreciate any and all suggestions. And yes, I have a sweet tooth... so that might put me at a disadvantage with higher voltage vaping? Hibiscus does okay at 6 volts on Reo. Fruit mixed with sweet creams seem to taste awful... but like you said, that might be all the added sweetener?

I wonder if VG vapes any better at high voltage than PG, or vice-versa?

I know I could never get my BWB Malty Toffee to taste good at high voltages, and anything sweet at all tasted burnt, so maybe it has more to do with the amount of sweetener...

LOL, we posted at the same time, so my last post might not have made sense in context!

Yes, I do think that that sweeteners will, with very few exceptions, taste burnt. Honestly, I gave up a very expensive and coveted VV mod in favor of a simple LR-equipped eGo, as I found it was just the right mix of umph and flavor...the only flavors that tasted good in the Ali'i were tobaccos.

Also, dripping or bottom feed will be less likely to produce a burnt taste than a carto, or other things where fiber get close to teh atty....

Yep.... we're on the same page:) I use my Reo at 3.7 a lot.... but rarely at 6 volts. I have a Buzz Pro that volts at about 5.5 but use my Riva at 3.7 with a VPX tank more often due to how the juice flavors taste fresher. I would have to say that my freshest vape comes from my Reo at 3.7 though.. tanks AND high voltages BOTH seem to degrade my favorite flavors. My Reo and my 3.7 battery work great. I do vape at 6 volts but only with certain juices...and it also goes through juices faster when I vape at higher voltages (or it seems that way). I've only been vaping since early April. But I'm SO hooked:) I never loved cigarettes they way I love vaping.... and I LOVE to mix:)

Are you saying that even the VPX tank degrades flavors? I would be very interested in a tank option for the eGo that worked well, but I am always hearing mixed reviews...

I'd say of all the tanks I've tried that the VPX is by far my favorite and the most sturdy. To be honest, it blows my M1A1 Buzz Tank away. But that's just my personal opinion:) I'm interested in trying a Pyrex tank... I just I could find one with a sturdier SS top/bottom. I'm so sick of rubberized top/bottom tanks... the leak more, they're not as easy to fill, etc. The VPX has a stainless steel top that you just pull off and you just fill it with the carto still in place.... no leakage, it's SO easy! It's the ONLY tank I have that when I try to blow excess juice down through the carto, the tank won't leak out the bottom from the pressure. It's just solid. But it's not perfect...it's better than the rest I've tried but I'm still searching for that perfect tank. I've already spent far too much for only being 4 months into vaping. When I add up my Reo grand, The Buzz Pro, my huge stash of Riva 510 batteries, my stock-up of LR & reg cartos, batteries/chargers and DIY flavors/bases it's insane how much I've spent. But I could stop now and vape for a year without spending another cent.... I'm very well stocked. But I'm constantly searching for something just a little bit (or a lot) better. I'm just hooked:) I LOVE vaping.... so I don't mind spending the money. I don't vape to save money. I vape because I sincerely enjoy it.... and it probably either saved my life or added years to my life at the very least. What tanks have you used?

Never fret about the money you're spending! You're right, just think about the years you're adding on to your life. I think one of the reasons vaping is such an effective substitute for smoking is that it gives us a fun hobby to obsess over for a while! After the debacle I had with the Ali'i mod (I must have had a lemon - sent in for repair three times, atties lasted no more than 48 hours - it was a huge money drain and most flavors didn't even taste as good), I decided to just sit back and enjoy this simple setup until something really worthwhile comes along, For now, it's easy to get batteries and atties, so I know what to expect and I can focus on enjoying the juices.

I haven't tried any tanks yet, but I keep my eye out for reviews in case something good comes along. I work at home, so, fortunately, it's very convenient for me to just drip most of the time. So, I'm waiting for a tank to come along that won't sacrifice flavor, or leave my pocket soaked in nic juice!

I really like coquito from evaporclouds at higher volts. It's one of the few I have that actually seem better at 6volts. That stuff's really growing on me. I'm not sure why, but it's my favorite when drinking. It just packs a great punch & the flavors really stand out. Very clean & pronounced flavors. It does take a week to steep. I got a fresh batch & at first it tasted exactly like pure powdered cinnamon which was over powering. After & week of shaking & sitting it obviously diluted & blended.

Two thumbs up for coquito at higher volts.

I work at home too! Are you a professional musician or artist? I have a tiny portfolio of my artwork on my profile page:)
BuT I have two kids, which makes vaping a little bit harder. My youngest ( she's 2 and a half) can't tel the difference between vaping and smoking yet, so I don't ever vape around her. When she's old enough to understand the differences, I'll explain it... I just don't want to instill memories of mommy "smoking" at such a young age. Before I quite the cigs I had to sneak around much more... always hiding outside in shame, smoking and feeling like a dirt-bag for doing it. At least now I can hide a unit with a lanyard, under my shirt/ around my neck and go into the bathroom or any space she's not in and have a quick guilt-free vape :)

SO far I'd suggest the VPX. But I plan on trying out the Pyrex (annealed glass) model I recently heard about as they're supposed to change juice flavors the least out of all tanks (from what I've heard.... I'll believe it when I experience it first-hand).

I really like mixing my own but I got two of the best pre-mixed flavors I tried so far yesterday~ Voodoo and Cravelope from Alien Visions. I also got Boba's Bounty due to all the rave reviews but it was too tobaccoish flavored for me to enjoy so I gave it to my mom who smokes tobacco flavors only (I converted her to vaping about 3 weeks ago after she smoked 2 packs a day for 40 years....THAT took some work and serious persuasion on my part but she took to it very quickly and hasn't relapsed yet!). What's your favorite flavor so far? Do you mix?

Thanks! I've never vaped anything with cinnamon....I've heard it's really hard on tanks and can crack them? A myth? I'll look into it, thanks for the suggestion:)

Thanks Link! I actually have a butterscotch concentrate from TPA..... I'll mix it up and see if I like it:) I'm not fully awake yet and my brain-power isn't strong enough to decipher the acronym.....which vendor is CPN? Or are they just called "CPN"? Oh wait, I see you have it linked..... I told you I wasn't awake yet!

CPN ButterScotch this is my all day vape @ 5.5 with 3.0 cart

not really fruity but, one of the few i like that dont get nasty @ higher voltage
