High on Vaping
I have been vaping now for 2 weeks, I was recommended to use the Vision eGo Clearomizers, so I did.
3 have already broke in 2 weeks, the wicks burnt out.
They are also I find a bet hit and miss.

I was wondering, the experienced vaper on here, what do you recommend?
I want something with a 510 threading, something which can hold a good amount of juice, as I vape a lot all day.
Something with not much maintenance and which will last a bit longer than 2 weeks, maybe something without a wick, I see it's only the veGo Clearos which use them,,oh and the Vision vivi nova.
What is the difference between the two?
I'd like to try the vivi novas but not sure what the difference is, they look the same to me.

Any help please post.

also the coils will die if they are not cleaned when they get gummed up. i have not used there ego clearomizer but use the vivi nova 2.5 and mini vivi nova. the coils need to be cleaned every 2 tanks or they will burn up. i have used the same 2.4ohm head on the mini for a month without any problems. but when i first got the 2.5 i burned the 2.4 out on it in 1 week because i didn't clean it. but what is happening is the coil gets a black crud that builds up on it and if you don't clean it the coil starts to burn hotter with a hot spot. so keep the coil clean and it will last a long time

Vivi Nova are quite hassle free (i've only used the 2.8ml). If you disassemble and clean every couple refills they'll last upwards of 4 weeks, sometimes more. Replacement heads are cheap, 2-3$, probably less depending on where you go. If you want to try out re-coiling your own the heads come apart and you can get your feet wet without too much fuss.

pbusardo has a video along with i'm sure a few others on youtube.

basically you take the nova apart and wash the head with water. pretty simple.

you could even just pull the head out, let it sit and soak in Vodka for a little while, then rinse very well and let sit for at least 24 hours...

i am a vivi nova fan. Easy to use, clean and care for. Also - despite a recent experience where I dropped my vivi and the tank broke at the threads - these things are really amazingly durable. my bf and I drop ours all the time - occassionally the stem will tweak out of true in the bottom threading and its no big deal to set it to rights. It seems that unless you actually damage the tank, as I did, the rest of the unit is nearly indestructable and can be fixed no matter what has happened to it. The tank itself is replaceable for cheap

This will only be a guessing game until we know what kind of juice you vape (high VG or high PG) and what kind of equipment you are presently using.

FWIW, I see little difference between a vivi nova and a vision w/replaceable parts. They are both polycarbonate, they both use silica wicks, they both have replaceable atty heads. The footprint, shape and size is different, that's about it. You can't tell me that equipment that use the exact SAME materials in their construction are inherently "different".

Then with Bogegate, I was tossing away cartos that were shorted or didn't vape. I vape high VG juice and also some flavors like lime, cinnamon, fruits etched and clouded the polycarbonate ----- and even melted my mouthpieces on a low resistance setup.

Quite frankly, all this drove me to use a bottom feeder.......I vape my juice straight off an atomizer, and no longer use all that plastic "equipment" except on my backup eGO Twists once in a while. I've had the same atty going for over a month now, I just take good care of it.

There's only so many hours in a day, and I decided I would rather DIY some of my juice than rebuild attys inside vivi novas, etc. but everyone needs to adopt the vaping thing that works for THEM. Do less of what you hate and more of what you love.

For you, maybe avoid wicks and go with a pyrex or polyethylene tank with stainless steel grommets and punched cartos?

The best of the best for me is an 18500/18650 mod, with a genesis atomizer/tank. It's not for everybody though, some seem to have lots of trouble oxidizing the wicks, but I've been using genensis style coil/wick for over a year, and I have had no desire to try anything else. It just works! And once you're set up and running, a 100ft coil of kanthal wire is 10 dollars and will last forever, and wicks can be reused for months! If you know anybody that could send you some mesh/wire, I would pick up a did clone or some other cheap rebuildable, and see if it's right for you. They really are pretty spectacular.

Before that, I had a lot of luck with cotton wicks. I used to pull apart my ce2's and rethread cotton though the coil. It worked great for quite awhile.
