Thinking how funny it is that I sold my Simplicity 650 and less than two weeks later here I am vaping on one.
No, just was at there at the right time to pick up the ribbed titanium tube. Now I have a 18500 and 18650 sharing caps. Totally unplanned.Sellers regret?
Debating whether I need/want to upgrade my 14500 cap or not
So was there some Ti's that came with the ribbed tube?![]()
I thinks there should be an Official list of what is out there, just for properity and to protect any future sellers/buyers to make sure items are legit.
Someone was selling a blemished tube last week. The listing was for a Ti with SS caps but didn't list it as a blemished tube so I asked..
I suppose if I had not asked, someone could have easily thought it was the legit $400 Ti..
It will happen again, guaranteed!
Not a full unit.So was there some Ti's that came with the ribbed tube?![]()
I believe the 650 Ti's had a ribbed finish. I remember from the description. I think the blemished 650 ti tubes were the same.
Need a snork picture!
Didn't know there was blemished 18650 Ti tubes... I thought there were only the 2 legit 18650 Ti's..
This whole 'blemished' and 'legit' thing is gonna make my head spin because I can't keep track.. LOL
I don't think that the seller was trying to mislead anyone (I didn't see the listing so I'm just assuming here). The problem is that we have a very different definition of blemished than David. The tubes themselves were not blemished. They just did not fit the titanium caps exactly how David wanted them to. They are aesthetically perfect titanium tubes and work flawlessly with the SS caps of the standard Simplicities. I don't see a problem with someone listing it as a SS Simplicity 18350 with titanium tube...but I would definitely not condone that person listing it as a titanium Simplicity or asking $400 for it.
Theeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrreeeee was something sketchy going on with the listing. He originally listed it as a Simplicity Ti for $300, but there was no mention of a Ti Kiklet. I left a comment asking what serial number he got, or if it was a Stainless Simplicity with a Ti tube, and he lowered his price to $205 and commented that it was a "Simplicity with a Ti tube", seemingly avoiding mentioning any material other than Ti. He claimed to sell it and close the thread, only to re-list it a couple of days later. He was a little more descriptive in his re-listing, but the title of the re-listing still said "Simplicity Ti".
The ribbed titanium is kind of strange. The bizarre grippiness of the titanium coupled with the ribs almost makes it stick to the palm of your hand.I do like the ribbed tubes, (shad up) It adds a nice distinction to the look of the Simplicity plus it really will take a beating and not show it for years to come.
Im not saying the smooth polished Ti is not amazing, but both are beauties. I really hope that David brings out spare tubes. Im sure many would love to get a ss steel tubes for Simplicity for added choices in battery needs.
