Thinking how funny it is that I sold my Simplicity 650 and less than two weeks later here I am vaping on one.

You know what? I did the exact same thing with my Super Six..

Sold it and kicked myself in the rear end but got lucky and scored another a few weeks later.. It never left my paws again until I lost it..

Sellers regret?
No, just was at there at the right time to pick up the ribbed titanium tube. Now I have a 18500 and 18650 sharing caps. Totally unplanned.
The titanium is so cool, so light, such a different texture.

Debating whether I need/want to upgrade my 14500 cap or not

I do not need or want. Interesting option though.

I thinks there should be an Official list of what is out there, just for properity and to protect any future sellers/buyers to make sure items are legit.

Someone was selling a blemished tube last week. The listing was for a Ti with SS caps but didn't list it as a blemished tube so I asked..

I suppose if I had not asked, someone could have easily thought it was the legit $400 Ti..

It will happen again, guaranteed!

I don't think that the seller was trying to mislead anyone (I didn't see the listing so I'm just assuming here). The problem is that we have a very different definition of blemished than David. The tubes themselves were not blemished. They just did not fit the titanium caps exactly how David wanted them to. They are aesthetically perfect titanium tubes and work flawlessly with the SS caps of the standard Simplicities. I don't see a problem with someone listing it as a SS Simplicity 18350 with titanium tube...but I would definitely not condone that person listing it as a titanium Simplicity or asking $400 for it.

So was there some Ti's that came with the ribbed tube?
Not a full unit.

I believe the 650 Ti's had a ribbed finish. I remember from the description. I think the blemished 650 ti tubes were the same.

Need a snork picture!

That's the one from above in this thread. Better one someday.

Didn't know there was blemished 18650 Ti tubes... I thought there were only the 2 legit 18650 Ti's..

This whole 'blemished' and 'legit' thing is gonna make my head spin because I can't keep track.. LOL

Yeah there were just a couple 650 tubes, too. I farted around, watched one sell, farted around some more, and finally bought the other.

This blemished tube I'll never know how blemished it was - I blemished the hell out of it with a pair of scissors getting it out of the bubble wrap. :( I got over it, it's not too bad.

I do like the ribbed tubes, (shad up) It adds a nice distinction to the look of the Simplicity plus it really will take a beating and not show it for years to come.

Im not saying the smooth polished Ti is not amazing, but both are beauties. I really hope that David brings out spare tubes. Im sure many would love to get a ss steel tubes for Simplicity for added choices in battery needs.

Theeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrreeeee was something sketchy going on with the listing. He originally listed it as a Simplicity Ti for $300, but there was no mention of a Ti Kiklet. I left a comment asking what serial number he got, or if it was a Stainless Simplicity with a Ti tube, and he lowered his price to $205 and commented that it was a "Simplicity with a Ti tube", seemingly avoiding mentioning any material other than Ti. He claimed to sell it and close the thread, only to re-list it a couple of days later. He was a little more descriptive in his re-listing, but the title of the re-listing still said "Simplicity Ti".

Just checked out your link and the relisting; that definitely was not cool. I don't get why people try to cheat just to make a couple bucks. I like the "If you don't like the price, just move on" part of his original listing. Glad you guys were able to call him out on that.

The ribbed titanium is kind of strange. The bizarre grippiness of the titanium coupled with the ribs almost makes it stick to the palm of your hand. :)
